本研究以Hart提出的語言與視覺表征理論為理論框架,對BBC環(huán)境保護(hù)新聞報道進(jìn)行多模態(tài)批評性語篇分析。通過分析BBC環(huán)境保護(hù)新聞報道如何表征環(huán)境保護(hù)主義者的身份及其社會行為、污染者的神秘化,探討新聞報道的真正意圖。本文旨在改進(jìn)人們對新聞報道的理解并提升其批評意識。本文主要運用語言和視覺表征理論中的社會行為者分析、及物性分析、神秘化分析進(jìn)行語料分析。本文在BBC新聞官方網(wǎng)站上搜集了自2017年1月1日至2019年12月31日的89篇環(huán)境保護(hù)新聞報道,從中篩選出至少含有三幅圖片且有相關(guān)文字表述的新聞報道共51篇作為本文的研究對象。本文旨在回答以下三個研究問題:（1）環(huán)境保護(hù)主義者的身份在BBC環(huán)境保護(hù)新聞報道中是如何被表征的?（2）環(huán)境保護(hù)主義者的社會行為在語料中是如何被表征的?（3）污染者的神秘化在語料中是如何被表征的?研究發(fā)現(xiàn)如下:（1）BBC環(huán)境保護(hù)新聞報道將熱心環(huán)境保護(hù)的民眾描述為環(huán)境保護(hù)團(tuán)體,關(guān)注該團(tuán)體在環(huán)境保護(hù)中的作用。對于環(huán)境保護(hù)領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)人士,相關(guān)報道突出其在環(huán)境保護(hù)中起到的作用。（2）及物性分析有助于表征環(huán)境保護(hù)主義者的社會行為。物質(zhì)過程展示了環(huán)境保護(hù)主義者的環(huán)保行為。關(guān)...
