本次翻譯實踐選自勞倫斯·韋努蒂編寫的《翻譯改變一切:理論與實踐》。此書是一部翻譯研究論文集,是作者2000年以來發(fā)表的十四篇關于翻譯研究的學術論文,具有專業(yè)詞匯多、句式結構復雜、語言嚴謹?shù)奶攸c。全書共十四章,本人承擔的翻譯內容是第一章“翻譯、社區(qū)、烏托邦”。根據(jù)紐馬克的文本類型理論,此文本主要屬于信息型文本,中間夾雜著小部分表達型文本。由于此文本旨在傳遞信息,反映客觀事實,翻譯時既要忠實于原文,又要考慮受眾的接受程度,故本次翻譯實踐采用了尤金·奈達的功能對等理論以及交際翻譯為主、語義翻譯為輔的翻譯策略,并從詞匯層面、句子層面、文化層面以及文體層面進行了案例分析,探討了具體的翻譯技巧,以使譯文達到功能對等的效果。最后,本報告對此次翻譯實踐做出總結,分析了問題與教訓,分享了收獲與啟示,這有助于本人對翻譯的本質形成更加清晰而深刻的認識,并提升翻譯技能,為今后的翻譯實踐打下堅實的基礎。
