《資本主義大變形》是美國前國會議員、里根時期白宮預算和管理辦公室主任美國戴維.A.斯托克曼撰寫的一部經濟學巨作。它痛陳當時的美國政府,尤其是美聯(lián)儲,在應對各種金融危機和財政懸崖時所采取的不當政策。因為這本著作以抨擊為主,因而文章中出現(xiàn)大量諷刺材料,不同類型的諷刺材料也給譯者的譯介構成了一定的挑戰(zhàn)。那究竟如何翻譯才能使目的語讀者的閱讀感受和源語讀者的閱讀感受一致或者相差無幾呢?本文試從金隄的等效理論視角出發(fā),對《資本主義大變形》漢譯本中的諷刺效果進行探討。經過仔細研讀分析發(fā)現(xiàn),漢譯本譯者張建敏在翻譯時盡量靠近讀者,采用直譯與意譯相結合的原則,在文風上與原作保持一致,以期達到同等效果。其中直譯部分,譯者并不是字對字的直譯,而是會通過添加補充信息或加注釋的方法來達到相同效果,包括保留原文中的諷刺、添加注釋以及添加補充說明的方法。在意譯部分,譯者主要在目標語中尋找相似的替代物,包括用目標語俗語替換源語諺語、省略諷刺形式,保留諷刺意義、增加諷刺形式,形象表達源語意義,以及借用源語或目的語中獨有的術語的方法,以達到相似效果。筆者認為,在采用這些翻譯策略的同時,譯者應注意積累相關的背景知識,避免在原...
