【摘要】:本文是一篇翻譯項(xiàng)目報(bào)告。翻譯項(xiàng)目的原文選自《我們的孩子-危機(jī)中的美國夢》Our Kids:The American Dream in Crisis一書第二章“家庭”(Family)。翻譯項(xiàng)目的原文作者為羅伯特·D.帕特南。原章節(jié)的主要內(nèi)容是討論美國家庭對于教育的影響,教育對社會流動的作用。本報(bào)告的主要內(nèi)容分四部分,第一、翻譯項(xiàng)目介紹,包括項(xiàng)目的背景、目標(biāo)、意義等。第二、原作背景介紹,包括作者簡介、主要內(nèi)容介紹、原作書評和語言特征等。對不同層級家庭的分析是本章節(jié)的主要內(nèi)容,原文中討論了家庭經(jīng)濟(jì)狀況與子女接受高等教育呈現(xiàn)明顯正相關(guān)性。第三、翻譯難點(diǎn)與翻譯方法。根據(jù)凱瑟琳娜·萊斯對文本的分類,《我們的孩子:危機(jī)中的美國夢》屬于信息文本,紐馬克的交際翻譯法尤其適用于信息文本。原著中涉及許多長句以及插入語,有一定難度。在翻譯過程中用到的翻譯方法主要有:詞性轉(zhuǎn)換、增譯法和倒置法。第四、總結(jié)在翻譯過程中所得到的啟發(fā)、教訓(xùn)和仍待解決的問題。
[Abstract]:This paper is a translation project report. The original text of the translation project is from our Children-the American Dream in crisis. Our Kids:The American Dream in Crisis, Chapter 2, "Family" (Family). The original author of the translation project was Robert D. Patnam. The main content of the original chapter is to discuss the influence of American family on education and the role of education on social mobility. The main contents of this report are divided into four parts. First, translation project introduction, including project background, objectives, significance and so on. Second, the background introduction of the original work, including the author's brief introduction, the main content introduction, the original book review and the language feature and so on. The analysis of different levels of family is the main content of this chapter. It is discussed in the original text that there is a significant positive correlation between family economic status and children's access to higher education. Third, translation difficulties and translation methods. According to Catherine Rice's classification of texts, our Children: the American Dream in crisis belongs to the information text, and Newmark's communicative translation method is especially suitable for the information text. The original involves many long sentences and inserts, which is difficult. The main translation methods used in the process of translation are part-of-speech conversion, addition translation and inversion. Fourth, summarize the inspiration, lessons and problems to be solved in the process of translation.
