《美麗湖南》(節(jié)選)英譯實踐報告

【摘要】:隨著我國經(jīng)濟實力的加強,旅游業(yè)的發(fā)展也日益迅猛。旅游資料英譯質(zhì)量的優(yōu)劣成為影響我國旅游業(yè)的對外發(fā)展的關(guān)鍵因素,因此,正視和解決存在的翻譯問題,尤其是解決文化特點突出的旅游資料的英譯問題顯得十分重要。本文是一篇翻譯實踐報告,以《美麗湖南》第五章為翻譯原文本,探討文化旅游文本的英譯策略。原文本英譯的目的在于向目標讀者宣傳湖南地方特色文化,激發(fā)讀者來湘的旅游欲望。而巧妙化解中西文化沖突,注重目標讀者的閱讀感受,引起其興趣是本次翻譯實踐對譯者提出的要求。由此,筆者以漢斯·威密爾的翻譯目的論為理論指導,根據(jù)翻譯實例,撰寫了本篇翻譯實踐報告。本次翻譯實踐報告主要有四大部分組成,包括翻譯任務描述、翻譯過程描述、翻譯案例分析以及翻譯實踐總結(jié)。筆者首先對翻譯任務作詳細介紹,內(nèi)容涵蓋本次翻譯實踐的研究背景和意義、文本的主要內(nèi)容與特點以及所選用的翻譯理論指導;然后對翻譯的整個過程展開描述,包括譯前準備、翻譯過程和譯后審校;接著對翻譯中遇到的具體問題予以分類分析,這部分是本報告的重點。筆者在翻譯時,發(fā)現(xiàn)原文用詞講究,兼具地方性、文化性和民族特點,英譯時卻沒有相對應的詞匯,這在風俗詞匯、中式菜名和文化虛詞的英譯中表現(xiàn)得尤為明顯;句法上注重形式對稱,多摻雜蘊含文化典故的詩詞、順口溜、唱詞等,且較多使用比喻、排比、對仗等修辭手法。因此,在翻譯目的論的指導下,筆者分別從文化負載詞、特色句子、引用語層面,根據(jù)實際情況總結(jié)出相應的翻譯方法,主要涉及直譯法、意譯法、加注法、創(chuàng)譯法、轉(zhuǎn)譯法、合譯法、省譯法、增譯法等;最后對本次翻譯實踐予以總結(jié),主要歸納實踐過程中的個人經(jīng)驗與不足之處。筆者希望,通過本次英譯實踐,能對外充分展現(xiàn)湖南文化的璀璨與魅力。同時,幫助外籍讀者正確感知中國文化內(nèi)涵,激發(fā)目標讀者來湘旅游的欲望,進而推動湖南旅游產(chǎn)業(yè)的進一步發(fā)展。
[Abstract]:With the strengthening of China's economic strength, the development of tourism is also increasingly rapid. The quality of English translation of tourist materials has become a key factor affecting the development of tourism in China. Therefore, it is very important to face up to and solve the problems of translation of tourism materials, especially the problem of translation of tourism materials with outstanding cultural characteristics. This paper is a translation practice report, which takes Chapter 5 of Beautiful Hunan as the original text to explore the strategies of English translation of cultural tourism texts. The purpose of the English translation of the original text is to propagate the local culture of Hunan to the target readers and stimulate the readers' desire to travel to Hunan. To defuse the cultural conflicts between China and the West skillfully and pay attention to the readers' reading feelings and arouse their interest are the requirements for the translator in this translation practice. Therefore, under the guidance of Hans Wilhelm's Skopos Theory, the author writes a translation practice report on the basis of translation examples. This translation practice report mainly consists of four parts, including translation task description, translation process description, translation case analysis and translation practice summary. The author first makes a detailed introduction to the translation task, covering the research background and significance of this translation practice, the main content and characteristics of the text, as well as the selected translation theory guidance; Then the whole process of translation is described, including pre-translation preparation, translation process and post-translation revision, and then the specific problems encountered in translation are classified and analyzed, which is the focus of this report. In translation, the author finds that the original words are exquisite, local, cultural and national, but there are no corresponding words in English translation, which is especially evident in the translation of custom words, names of Chinese dishes and cultural functions. Syntax pays attention to formal symmetry, mixed with poems containing cultural allusions, smooth mouth, singing words, etc., and more use of metaphors, comparisons, opposites and other rhetorical devices. Therefore, under the guidance of Skopos Theory, the author summarizes the corresponding translation methods from the aspects of culture-loaded words, characteristic sentences and quotations, which are mainly related to literal translation, free translation, annotation, creation, translation, and translation. Co-translation method, save translation method, additional translation method, etc.; Finally, this paper summarizes the translation practice, mainly summarizes the personal experience and shortcomings in the process of practice. The author hopes that through this English translation practice, Hunan culture can be fully displayed in its brilliance and glamour. At the same time, it helps foreign readers to correctly perceive the connotation of Chinese culture, stimulate the desire of target readers to travel to Hunan, and promote the further development of Hunan tourism industry.
