【摘要】：新聞報道是語言學(xué)研究的一個主要對象,語言學(xué)家長期以來從不同視角對其進(jìn)行研究。在發(fā)掘報道中蘊(yùn)含的態(tài)度、立場方面,Martin等人創(chuàng)立的評價理論具有一定的影響,該理論包括態(tài)度、介入和極差三個系統(tǒng)。普利策獎是美國最高的新聞獎,而普利策公共服務(wù)獎一直是其中分量最重的獎項之一,但是普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎作品在我國英語語言學(xué)術(shù)界卻沒有引起足夠的重視。2015年普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎報道講述了美國南卡羅來納州家庭暴力的現(xiàn)狀。本研究運(yùn)用評價理論的態(tài)度系統(tǒng),并借助UAM Corpus Tool對選取的這篇獲獎作品中的態(tài)度資源進(jìn)行標(biāo)記、統(tǒng)計,運(yùn)用定量分析與定性分析相結(jié)合的方法,探討2015年普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎作品的態(tài)度資源分布情況及特點,從而發(fā)現(xiàn)新聞報道是怎樣傳達(dá)態(tài)度、立場的。本研究選取2015年普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎報道做為語料,包含五章,共22000多字。研究發(fā)現(xiàn)這篇報道中的態(tài)度資源涵蓋了態(tài)度系統(tǒng)三個子系統(tǒng)中的所有項。報道中消極態(tài)度資源的數(shù)量遠(yuǎn)超過積級的,該報道傾向于揭露、批判。這篇報道中情感資源最多,不同于傳統(tǒng)的新聞報道,大量情感資源能讓讀者直接了解報道中的情感。情感系統(tǒng)中不高興的態(tài)度資源出現(xiàn)最多,可以引起讀者對家庭暴力問題的重視。判斷系統(tǒng)中正當(dāng)性資源運(yùn)用最多,消極的正當(dāng)性資源遠(yuǎn)多于積極的,體現(xiàn)了施暴者的行為不合道德或者法律。鑒賞系統(tǒng)中反應(yīng)出現(xiàn)頻率最高,消極的反應(yīng)要多于積極的,表明家庭暴力是不受人們歡迎的。雖然報道中消極資源非常多,但在傾向/非傾向資源以及價值資源中,積極的資源數(shù)量卻遠(yuǎn)超出消極的,傳達(dá)出人們解決家庭暴力問題的愿望與可能性。此外,報道中非作者情感要遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出作者情感,判斷、鑒賞系統(tǒng)中,隱性資源所占的比重高于顯性的資源,表明所選普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎作品是比較客觀的。本研究以評價理論為指導(dǎo)分析2015普利策公共服務(wù)獎獲獎作品,有助于我們理解評價理論,也拓寬了評價理論的應(yīng)用范圍。此外,本文對于所選語料中的態(tài)度資源的分析,可以提高我們解讀、評價文本的能力,讓我們學(xué)會挖掘新聞報道背后的態(tài)度、立場。
[Abstract]:News report is one of the main objects of linguistic research, and linguists have been studying it from different perspectives for a long time. In exploring the attitude and position contained in the report, the evaluation theory developed by Martin et al has a certain influence. The theory includes three systems: attitude, intervention and extreme difference. The Pulitzer Prize is the highest in the United States for journalism, and the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service has always been one of the most important. However, the Pulitzer Public Service Award-winning works have not attracted enough attention in the English language academia in China. The 2015 Pulitzer Public Service Awards award-winning report tells about the current situation of domestic violence in South Carolina. In this study, the attitude system of evaluation theory is used, and the attitude resources in the selected award winning works are marked and counted by UAM Corpus Tool, and the method of combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis is used. This paper probes into the distribution of attitude resources and characteristics of the winning works of the Pulitzer Public Service Award in 2015, and finds out how the news reports convey their attitudes and positions. This study selects the Pulitzer Public Service Awards award-winning report in 2015 as the corpus, including five chapters, more than 22000 words. The study found that the attitude resources in this report cover all of the three subsystems of the attitude system. The amount of negative attitude resources in the report is far greater than the cumulative one, and the report tends to expose and criticize. This article has the most emotional resources, which is different from the traditional news reports. A large number of emotional resources can help readers directly understand the emotions in the report. The most unhappy attitude resources in the emotional system can arouse readers' attention to the problem of domestic violence. In the judgment system, the legitimate resources are used most, and the negative legitimate resources are far more than the positive ones, which reflects the unethical or legal behavior of the perpetrators. The highest frequency of response and more negative response than positive in the appreciation system suggest that domestic violence is unpopular. Although there are many negative resources in the report, the number of positive resources in the tendency / non-tendency resources as well as the value resources is far more than the negative ones, which conveys people's desire and possibility to solve the problem of domestic violence. In addition, it is reported that the feelings of the Central African authors far outweigh the author's emotions. Judging, the proportion of hidden resources in the appreciation system is higher than that of the explicit ones, which indicates that the selected Pulitzer Public Service Award-winning works are more objective. Under the guidance of the evaluation theory, this study analyzes the winning works of the 2015 Pulitzer Public Service Award, which helps us to understand the evaluation theory and broaden the scope of application of the evaluation theory. In addition, the analysis of attitude resources in the selected corpus can improve our ability to interpret and evaluate the text, so that we can learn to excavate the attitude and position behind the news reports.
