以《向前:女性如何更好地獲得成功》一書為例分析定語(yǔ)從句的翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告

【摘要】:隨著中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的不斷發(fā)展,國(guó)外勵(lì)志類暢銷書在近年來(lái)被廣泛引入。該類書籍邏輯清晰,說理性,議論性極強(qiáng),且具備很大的實(shí)用性,因而深受讀者熱捧。如何將此類書籍所要傳達(dá)的內(nèi)涵原汁原味地呈現(xiàn)給中國(guó)讀者,成為眾多譯者需共同面對(duì)的一個(gè)問題。作者在導(dǎo)師指導(dǎo)下翻譯了由勵(lì)志類暢銷書作家安吉·簡(jiǎn)所著的《前進(jìn):女性如何更好地獲得成功》一書的第六章。勵(lì)志類書籍說理性強(qiáng),往往需要語(yǔ)言富有邏輯性和條理性,而定語(yǔ)從句不僅能起到充分解釋與說明的作用,而且能夠避免語(yǔ)言重復(fù),使行文層次分明,條理清晰,有利于作者充分表達(dá)豐富觀點(diǎn),而因而作者在第六章中使用了一定量的定語(yǔ)從句。定語(yǔ)從句的翻譯一直是英漢翻譯過程中存在的一個(gè)難點(diǎn),并令諸多譯者頭疼。結(jié)合原著的語(yǔ)言特點(diǎn),且考慮到英漢兩種語(yǔ)言句子結(jié)構(gòu)之間存在的差異,在翻譯過程中譯者選擇以功能對(duì)等原則為指導(dǎo),采用分譯法和合譯法的翻譯技巧來(lái)解析文中定語(yǔ)從句的翻譯。本報(bào)告主要由引言、正文和結(jié)論三部分組成。主要內(nèi)容如下:第一部分為引言部分。該部分主要就勵(lì)志類書籍的語(yǔ)言特色,翻譯該類型書籍的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義及定語(yǔ)從句漢譯過程中所遇到的問題等方面進(jìn)行論述。第二部分是正文部分,共三章:第一章主要描述翻譯實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目,作者相關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)背景,原著語(yǔ)言特點(diǎn)以及功能對(duì)等理論。第二章主要側(cè)重描述翻譯過程,包括譯前準(zhǔn)備,翻譯過程中所遇到的困難及如何對(duì)譯文進(jìn)行質(zhì)量把控。第三章為論文寫作的重點(diǎn),該部分以案例分析的方式分析并總結(jié)文中定語(yǔ)從句的句式特點(diǎn),根據(jù)奈達(dá)的功能對(duì)等理論,采用分譯法和合譯法的翻譯技巧,并將兩種技巧運(yùn)用到定語(yǔ)從句翻譯實(shí)踐中。最后是結(jié)論部分,該部分主要對(duì)此次翻譯實(shí)踐進(jìn)行總結(jié),包括通過此次翻譯實(shí)踐獲得的自我提升及未解決的相關(guān)問題。譯者希望本實(shí)踐報(bào)告能對(duì)同類型課題的研究者有所幫助。
[Abstract]:With the development of China's economy, inspirational bestsellers have been widely introduced in recent years. This kind of book is very logical, rational, argumentative and practical, so it is popular with readers. How to convey the connotation of this kind of books to Chinese readers has become a common problem for many translators. The author, under the guidance of his mentor, translated the sixth chapter of the book, advance: how Women better succeed, by the inspirational bestseller Anji Jane. Motivational books are rational and often need language to be logical and methodical. Attributive clauses can not only fully explain and explain, but also avoid repetition of language and make the lines of writing clear and clear. In chapter 6, the author uses a certain number of attributive clauses. The translation of attributive clauses has always been a difficulty in English-Chinese translation and has caused many translators a headache. Considering the linguistic characteristics of the original book and the differences in sentence structure between English and Chinese, the translator chooses the principle of functional equivalence as the guide in the process of translation. This paper analyzes the translation of attributive clauses in the text by using the techniques of split translation and translation. This report mainly consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The main contents are as follows: the first part is the introduction. This part mainly discusses the language characteristics of inspirational books, the practical significance of translating this type of books and the problems encountered in the process of translating attributive clauses into Chinese. The second part is the text, which consists of three chapters: the first chapter mainly describes the translation practice project, the author's academic background, the characteristics of the original language and the functional equivalence theory. The second chapter focuses on the translation process, including pre-translation preparation, difficulties encountered in the translation process and how to control the quality of the translation. The third chapter is the focus of the thesis, which analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of attributive clauses in this paper by case analysis. According to Nida's functional equivalence theory, it adopts the translation techniques of split translation method and translation method. Two techniques are applied to the translation of attributive clauses. The last part is the conclusion part, which mainly summarizes the translation practice, including the self-promotion and unsolved problems obtained from the translation practice. The translator hopes that this practical report will be helpful to researchers of the same kind of subjects.
