關(guān)聯(lián)理論視角下陜西省外宣文本英譯實踐報告

【摘要】:隨著全球化進程的日益加深以及中國的國際地位的提高,外國人了解中國的愿望也日益迫切。在“中國文化走出去”戰(zhàn)略的實施的大背景下,中國各省市地區(qū)都在舉辦各種全球推介活動以期走出國門、吸引更多關(guān)注。陜西也在外交部舉行了此類活動,外宣材料的翻譯在這個過程中有著非常重要的作用。成功的外宣翻譯有利于樹立陜西省良好形象,招商引資,吸引游客;反之,則達(dá)不到良好的宣傳效果,甚至可能會有損國家形象。研究外宣文本翻譯能為從事相關(guān)外宣翻譯實踐的譯者提供有效指導(dǎo),因而極具現(xiàn)實意義。本實踐報告以陜西省外宣翻譯基礎(chǔ),試圖從關(guān)聯(lián)理論的角度探討中國外宣資料的英譯。本報告首先分析了筆者翻譯實踐過程中遇到的問題,主要概括為以下幾個方面:政治術(shù)語的翻譯、華麗辭藻的翻譯,包括夸張性的描述、四字詞等,富含中國特色文化內(nèi)容,以及邏輯混亂的長句等。隨后結(jié)合關(guān)聯(lián)理論,以理論為框架探索性地提出解決各個層面問題的對策:在推理階段,譯者必須根據(jù)邏輯、百科、詞匯信息作出正確的推理,為正確傳達(dá)原文意圖提供基礎(chǔ);在明示階段,譯者必須考慮譯語讀者的接受能力和認(rèn)知環(huán)境,采用直譯、增譯、減譯、釋譯、調(diào)整語序等方法作出相應(yīng)的調(diào)整。本報告旨研究外宣文本的英譯問題,以期為今后外宣文本的英譯研究提供建議及參考。
[Abstract]:With the deepening of globalization and the improvement of China's international status, foreigners' desire to understand China is becoming more and more urgent. Against the background of the implementation of the strategy of "going out of Chinese Culture", all provinces, cities and regions of China are holding a variety of global promotion activities in order to go abroad and attract more attention. Shaanxi also held such activities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the translation of publicity materials in this process has played a very important role. Successful translation of foreign propaganda helps to set up a good image of Shaanxi Province, attract investment, attract tourists; otherwise, it can not achieve good publicity effect, and may even damage the image of the country. The study on the translation of foreign publicity texts can provide effective guidance for translators engaged in the practice of translation of foreign publicity, so it is of great practical significance. Based on the translation of foreign propaganda in Shaanxi Province, this report attempts to explore the translation of Chinese foreign propaganda materials from the perspective of relevance theory. This report first analyzes the problems encountered in the process of translation, which are summarized as follows: translation of political terms, translation of ornate words, including exaggerated descriptions, four-character words, etc., which are rich in cultural content with Chinese characteristics. As well as the long sentence of logic confusion, etc. Then, combining the relevance theory, the author puts forward some countermeasures to solve the problems at all levels: in the reasoning stage, the translator must make correct reasoning according to logic, encyclopedia and lexical information to provide the basis for the correct communication of the original intention; In the explicit stage, the translator must take into account the receptive ability and cognitive environment of the target readers, and make corresponding adjustments by means of literal translation, incremental translation, subtraction, interpretation, word order adjustment and so on. The purpose of this report is to study the translation of foreign texts into English, with a view to providing suggestions and references for the future study of English translation of foreign propaganda texts.
