【摘要】：21世紀(jì),全球范圍內(nèi)不同國家之間在科學(xué)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域的信息交流愈來愈頻繁,科學(xué)技術(shù)的發(fā)展極大地促進(jìn)了人類社會(huì)的發(fā)展,科普作品的翻譯扮演了非常重要的角色。然而,中國的科普翻譯領(lǐng)域目前并不成熟。因此,基于《萬物進(jìn)化史:新觀點(diǎn)是如何產(chǎn)生的》一書的翻譯實(shí)踐,本文作者將從尤金·奈達(dá)的功能對(duì)等理論入手,討論科普文的翻譯策略,希望可以為科普翻譯的發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)綿薄之力,促進(jìn)科普信息的有效傳遞。本文的研究對(duì)象選用了英國學(xué)者馬特·里德利的最新作品《萬物進(jìn)化史:新觀點(diǎn)是如何產(chǎn)生的》。這本書從進(jìn)化論的角度分析了經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展,涉及領(lǐng)域覆蓋科學(xué)、社會(huì)學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、政治、哲學(xué)、網(wǎng)絡(luò)科學(xué)和宗教等,為讀者提供了一個(gè)看待經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的獨(dú)特角度。本文以功能對(duì)等理論為基礎(chǔ),從詞匯對(duì)等、句法對(duì)等以及篇章對(duì)等等角度分別對(duì)這本書的翻譯進(jìn)行了案例分析,討論了翻譯過程中遇到的難點(diǎn)。基于功能對(duì)等理論,作者討論了科普翻譯中的策略和技巧,致力于為中國讀者完整精準(zhǔn)地傳達(dá)原文意義,以期達(dá)到不同文化間科普信息的交流傳播。
[Abstract]:In the 21st century, the exchange of information between different countries in the field of science and technology has become more and more frequent. The development of science and technology has greatly promoted the development of human society, and the translation of popular science works has played a very important role. However, the field of popular science translation in China is not mature at present. Therefore, based on the translation practice of the book "History of everything Evolution: how New ideas come into being", the author will discuss the translation strategies of popular science from Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory. It is hoped that it can contribute to the development of science translation and promote the effective transmission of popular science information. The object of this study is British scholar Matt Ridley's latest work Evolution of all things: how New ideas come into being. The book analyzes economic development from the perspective of evolution, covering fields of science, sociology, economics, politics, philosophy, network science and religion, providing readers with a unique perspective on economic development. Based on the theory of functional equivalence, this paper makes a case study of the translation of the book from the perspectives of lexical equivalence, syntactic equivalence and text alignment, and discusses the difficulties encountered in the process of translation. Based on the theory of functional equivalence, the author discusses the strategies and techniques in the translation of science popularization, aiming to convey the meaning of the original text to Chinese readers in a complete and accurate manner, in order to achieve the communication and dissemination of popular science information among different cultures.
