主述位理論下漢英即興演講交替?zhèn)髯g研究

【摘要】:隨著中外交流進(jìn)一步加大,翻譯的作用也越來(lái)越凸顯。即興演講是常見的演講形式,交替?zhèn)髯g則是重要場(chǎng)合下常見的口譯形式。然而,即興演講通常存在成分殘缺、信息冗余、邏輯不明和結(jié)構(gòu)松散的問(wèn)題,這些都對(duì)交替?zhèn)髯g譯員提出了挑戰(zhàn)。本文旨在從主述位理論的角度出發(fā),探究使用該理論是否有助于改善漢英即興演講交替?zhèn)髯g的效果。如該理論能產(chǎn)生積極效果,可用于指導(dǎo)翻譯教學(xué)和翻譯實(shí)踐。主述位理論包括主位和述位理論以及主位推進(jìn)模式,主要研究句子內(nèi)部的主位和述位、句子的新舊信息、句子間的銜接以及篇章的邏輯結(jié)構(gòu)。根據(jù)主述位理論的研究范圍,筆者將從四個(gè)方面考察該理論的效果:譯文的表達(dá),主要信息的完整度,準(zhǔn)確度,以及連貫性。對(duì)此,筆者采用實(shí)證研究的方式,選取一篇中文即興演講材料,讓兩組同樣水平的譯員做交替?zhèn)髯g,一組使用主述位理論,一組不使用。通過(guò)定量分析,筆者將比較兩組譯員的表現(xiàn)差異,探究使用主述位理論對(duì)譯員表現(xiàn)的影響;在定性分析中,筆者將針對(duì)即興演講篇章的特點(diǎn),具體分析主述位理論在譯員交替?zhèn)髯g中的應(yīng)用。通過(guò)實(shí)驗(yàn),筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),使用主述位理論可以在一定程度上幫助譯員快速選擇合適主語(yǔ),區(qū)分主次信息,把握篇章隱藏邏輯和改善句子銜接,對(duì)應(yīng)即興演講文本中存在的成分殘缺、信息冗余、邏輯不明和結(jié)構(gòu)松散的問(wèn)題,可相應(yīng)改善譯員在譯文表達(dá)、主要信息完整度、譯文準(zhǔn)確度和譯文連貫性方面的表現(xiàn)。
[Abstract]:With the further increase of communication between China and foreign countries, the role of translation is becoming more and more prominent. Improvisation is a common form of speech, while consecutive interpretation is a common form of interpretation on important occasions. However, impromptu speeches often have problems of incomplete elements, redundant information, unclear logic and loose structure, all of which pose a challenge to interpreters. The purpose of this paper is to explore whether the use of the Theme-Rheme Theory can improve the effect of Chinese-English improvisation. If the theory can produce positive effects, it can be used to guide translation teaching and translation practice. Theme-rheme theory includes theme and rheme theory and thematic progression model. It mainly studies the internal theme and rheme of sentences, the old and new information of sentences, the cohesion between sentences and the logical structure of the text. According to the scope of the thematic theory, the author will examine the effects of the theory from four aspects: the expression of the translation, the completeness of the main information, the accuracy, and the coherence. To this end, the author adopts an empirical study to select a Chinese impromptu speech material to allow two groups of interpreters of the same level to do consecutive interpretation. One group uses the thematic theory and the other group does not use it. Through quantitative analysis, the author will compare the performance differences between the two groups of interpreters, explore the impact of thematic theory on the performance of interpreters, and in qualitative analysis, the author will aim at the characteristics of the impromptu speech. The application of Theme-Rheme Theory in interpreter consecutive interpretation is analyzed in detail. Through experiments, the author finds that the use of theme-rheme theory can to some extent help interpreters quickly select suitable subjects, distinguish between subject and secondary information, grasp the hidden logic of the text and improve the cohesion of sentences. Corresponding to the problems of incomplete elements, redundant information, unclear logic and loose structure in the impromptu speech text, the performance of the interpreter in the aspects of translation expression, main information completeness, translation accuracy and translation coherence can be improved accordingly.
