目的論視角下的意義連貫—《食品科技：養(yǎng)育今天和明天的世界》翻譯報告

【摘要】：全球人口不斷增長,為了提高全球人口的健康與福祉,食品科技變得日益重要,此篇關于食品科技的評論不僅能使讀者對食品科技有一個全面的理解,糾正人們對加工食品的誤解,而且也可以作為公共外宣的基本資料。翻譯行為的目的決定整個翻譯行為的過程,此次翻譯行為的目的是將原語有關食品科技的發(fā)展歷史,加工食品的爭議,食品加工工藝及應對食品科技挑戰(zhàn)的解決方法傳遞給中國讀者,因此此次翻譯是以目的語讀者的文化背景為導向,譯者選擇功能目的論作為此次翻譯實踐的理論指導。該翻譯材料重在傳遞食品科技的綜合信息,為達到目標讀者的閱讀需求和心理期待,使譯文在譯語環(huán)境中具有可讀性、連貫性,譯者將目的論運用于翻譯實踐,其中連貫原則對實現(xiàn)譯文的連貫起了重要作用。譯者對目的論及其第二原則連貫原則進行闡述,然后結(jié)合英漢翻譯實踐Feeding the World Today and Tomorrow:The Importance of Food Science and Technology,從目的論的角度,以具體例子輔以證明,連貫原則對科普文翻譯在語義、文化、邏輯方面的指導,通過翻譯策略方法的使用,達到語義連貫、文化連貫、邏輯連貫。最后譯者總結(jié)翻譯實踐的收獲以及在翻譯過程中存在的不足。本報告旨在目的論視角下,應用目的論的連貫原則實現(xiàn)科普文翻譯的意義連貫,希望此篇報告能對今后此類或相近類別的翻譯實踐有一定的啟示和幫助。
[Abstract]:Food technology is becoming increasingly important in order to improve the health and well-being of the global population. This review of food science and technology not only gives readers a comprehensive understanding of food science and technology. Correct people's misunderstanding about processed food, and can also be used as the basic information of public propaganda. The purpose of the translation act determines the whole process of the translation act. The purpose of this translation act is to refer to the history of the development of food science and technology in the original language and the controversy over the processing of food. The food processing technology and the solution to the challenge of food science and technology are passed on to Chinese readers, so the translation is guided by the cultural background of the target language reader, and the translator chooses the Skopos theory as the theoretical guidance of the translation practice. The translation material focuses on transmitting the comprehensive information of food science and technology, in order to achieve the reading needs and psychological expectations of the target readers, and make the target text readable and coherent in the target language environment, the translator applies Skopos theory to the translation practice. The principle of coherence plays an important role in achieving coherence. The translator expounds Skopos theory and its second principle coherence principle, and then combines English and Chinese translation practice Feeding the World Today and Tomorrow:The Importance of Food Science and Technology, from the perspective of Skopos theory, with concrete examples to prove that coherence principle is semantic for popular science translation. Through the use of translation strategies, semantic coherence, cultural coherence and logical coherence are achieved under the guidance of culture and logic. Finally, the translator summarizes the harvest of translation practice and the shortcomings in the translation process. The purpose of this report is to apply the Skopos coherence principle to the realization of meaning coherence in the translation of popular science. It is hoped that this report will provide some enlightenment and help to the practice of translation of this kind or similar type in the future.
