從關聯(lián)理論和合作原則看漢英同聲傳譯中無效信息的處理

【摘要】:本文借用認知負荷模型和關聯(lián)理論,研究了漢英同聲傳譯中,學生譯員對漢語源語中無效信息的處理。本文研究的文本類型是漢語的即興發(fā)言,以發(fā)言中無效信息對譯員的認知負荷產(chǎn)生的影響為切入點,從譯員和聽眾兩個角度,探討了譯員對無效信息進行主動干預和修正的必要性。通過課堂案例分析發(fā)現(xiàn),源語中的無效信息會加重譯員的認知負擔并影響輸出質(zhì)量,但在譯員對無效信息有所預期并做好主動干預準備的情況下,這種影響會減少,輸出質(zhì)量也更高。對于聽眾而言,如果譯員不對無效信息進行處理,而是將其保留在輸出中,或是處理方式不當,則會加大觀眾對譯文的理解難度,導致觀眾對譯員的信任度降低,相比之下,譯文的其它因素,如口音、細微語法錯誤和不流暢現(xiàn)象,則不會影響觀眾信任度。因此,本文認為對無效信息進行干預和處理是必要的。在此基礎之上,本文從關聯(lián)理論和合作原則的角度探討了譯員在處理無效信息時可遵從的原則和標準,并總結了漢英同傳中應對無效信息的策略。
[Abstract]:Based on the cognitive load model and relevance theory, this paper studies the processing of invalid information in Chinese source language by student interpreters in Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation. The text type studied in this paper is the improvisation of Chinese language. From the perspective of both the interpreter and the audience, the effect of invalid information in the speech on the cognitive load of the interpreter is taken as the starting point. The necessity of active intervention and correction of invalid information by interpreters is discussed. A case study shows that the invalid information in the source language will increase the cognitive burden of the interpreter and affect the output quality, but this effect will be reduced when the interpreter has expected the invalid information and is prepared for active intervention. The output quality is also higher. For the audience, if the interpreter does not deal with invalid information and keeps it in the output, or if it is not handled in a proper way, it will increase the audience's understanding of the translation and lead to a decrease in the audience's trust in the interpreter. Other factors in the translation, such as accents, minor grammatical errors and unfluency, do not affect audience trust. Therefore, it is necessary to intervene and deal with invalid information. On the basis of this, this paper discusses the principles and standards that interpreters can follow in dealing with invalid information from the angle of relevance theory and cooperative principle, and summarizes the strategies of coping with invalid information in the same communication between Chinese and English.
