【摘要】：第97次海上安全委員會(huì)上各成員國(guó)提交了大量的文件。正確翻譯這類文件,對(duì)我國(guó)航運(yùn)事業(yè)的發(fā)展有非常重要的意義,因而筆者選取了其中的部分文本作為本次實(shí)踐報(bào)告的翻譯材料。本報(bào)告采用案例分析的方式,研究總結(jié)了海上安全委員會(huì)第97次會(huì)議上提交的文件中長(zhǎng)句的漢譯技巧。這類文本同屬海事法律文件,通常包括修正案、提案、決議草案、建議草案和通函草案等。其正式程度較高,信息量大,而且此類文本涉及的內(nèi)容比較廣泛,包括船舶建造、航運(yùn)安全、海事公約等等。大量的法律術(shù)語(yǔ)、科技術(shù)語(yǔ)和縮略語(yǔ)和長(zhǎng)句,導(dǎo)致此類文本的翻譯工作存在很大困難,所以筆者以其中的長(zhǎng)句為研究對(duì)象。本報(bào)告選取的長(zhǎng)句是30個(gè)詞或更長(zhǎng)的句子,對(duì)其句子結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)行分析,并以紐馬克的交際翻譯理論為指導(dǎo),運(yùn)用了順譯法、倒譯法、嵌入法、切分法、插入法、重組法等技巧翻譯海事會(huì)議文本中的長(zhǎng)句。本報(bào)告通過(guò)分析文中長(zhǎng)句的翻譯,以期為中國(guó)海事調(diào)查官撰寫英文海事會(huì)議文件,以及翻譯英文海事會(huì)議文件提供參考。
[Abstract]:At the 97th Maritime Safety Committee, member States submitted a large number of documents. The correct translation of such documents is of great significance to the development of China's shipping industry, so the author selects some of the texts as translation materials for this practical report. This report uses a case study to study and summarize the techniques of translating long sentences in the documents presented at the 97th meeting of the Maritime Safety Committee. Such texts are also maritime legal documents, usually including amendments, proposals, draft resolutions, draft recommendations and draft circulars. It is highly formal, informative, and covers a wide range of topics, including shipbuilding, shipping safety, maritime conventions, and so on. A large number of legal terms, technical terms, abbreviations and long sentences lead to great difficulties in the translation of such texts, so the author takes the long sentences as the object of study. The long sentences selected in this report are 30 words or longer sentences, and the sentence structure is analyzed. Guided by Newmark's communicative translation theory, we use the following translation methods, inversion, embedding, segmentation, insertion, etc. Techniques such as reorganization are used to translate long sentences in maritime conference texts. By analyzing the translation of the long sentences in the paper, this report aims to provide a reference for the Chinese maritime surveyor to write the English maritime conference documents and to translate the English maritime conference documents.
