【摘要】：《聽見貓頭鷹呼喊我的名字》是美國作家瑪格麗特.克雷文最有名的代表作品之一,于1967年首次發(fā)表于加拿大,被美國出版商引入國內(nèi)后,連續(xù)榮登《紐約時報》暢銷榜幾十年,1973年被改編成同名電影。盡管小說在北美和其他地區(qū)風(fēng)靡一時,但是經(jīng)筆者查閱,目前這部英文小說在國內(nèi)外尚未出現(xiàn)相應(yīng)的漢譯版本。本文是首次進行英譯漢的翻譯工作。小說中描寫的現(xiàn)代文明與印第安文化之間的碰撞和沖突,展示了文化的脆弱性以及某些邊緣文化衰落的宿命性,發(fā)人深思。本篇報告選用德國功能主義翻譯理論的代表性理論目的論作為本次翻譯實踐的指導(dǎo)。在翻譯的過程中,筆者遇到了一些翻譯難點,如非英語專有名詞,長難句,多義選擇,特殊句式等等。針對這些翻譯難題,筆者在翻譯報告中結(jié)合翻譯理論,采用案例分析法,選擇適宜的翻譯策略,如音譯法,增譯法,拆分重組等方法以期達到理想的翻譯效果。小說原文共有四個章節(jié),本篇翻譯實踐報告涉及小說第一章的前五部分。本報告結(jié)合對這五個部分的翻譯實踐,探討如何在目的論指導(dǎo)下選擇恰當(dāng)?shù)姆g策略,以便準(zhǔn)確地向目的語讀者傳達原作的思想文化信息和文本風(fēng)格。報告共由五章組成。第一章,翻譯任務(wù)簡介。內(nèi)容包括原作作者、作品內(nèi)容及語言特色。第二章,理論框架。著重介紹目的論的主要觀點。第三章,翻譯過程。包括譯前準(zhǔn)備、翻譯中遇到的難點及譯后校對。第四章,案例分析。通過具體的譯例,探討在目的論的指導(dǎo)下,如何靈活運用各種翻譯技巧解決翻譯難點。第五章,總結(jié)與反思。對此次翻譯實踐的得失進行小結(jié),反思“失”的原因及應(yīng)該采取的對策。
[Abstract]:Hearing an owl shout my name is American writer Margaret. One of Craven's most famous works, first published in Canada in 1967, was introduced by American publishers to the New York Times best-seller list for decades and was adapted into a film of the same name in 1973. Although the novel is popular in North America and other regions, it has not been translated into Chinese at home and abroad. This is the first time to translate English into Chinese. The collision and conflict between modern civilization and Indian culture described in the novel reveal the fragility of culture and the fatality of the decline of some marginal cultures, which is thought-provoking. The representative Skopos theory of German functionalist translation theory is chosen as the guidance of this translation practice. In the process of translation, the author has encountered some difficulties in translation, such as non-English proper nouns, long difficult sentences, polysemous choices, special sentence patterns and so on. In order to achieve the ideal translation effect, the author combines translation theory with translation report and adopts case analysis to select suitable translation strategies, such as transliteration, incremental translation, split and recombination, etc. There are four chapters in the original text of the novel, and this translation practice report covers the first five parts of the first chapter of the novel. Based on the translation practice of these five parts, this report explores how to choose appropriate translation strategies under the guidance of Skopos theory in order to accurately convey the original cultural information and text style to the target language readers. The report consists of five chapters. Chapter one, brief introduction of translation task. The content includes the author of the original work, the content of the work and language features. Chapter two, theoretical framework. This paper mainly introduces the main viewpoints of Skopos theory. Chapter three: translation process. Including pre-translation preparation, difficulties encountered in translation and post-translation proofreading. Chapter four, case study. Under the guidance of Skopos theory, this paper discusses how to use various translation techniques to solve translation difficulties. Chapter V, summary and reflection. This paper sums up the gain and loss of the translation practice and reflects on the reasons for the loss and the countermeasures to be taken.
