【摘要】：本翻譯實(shí)踐報告選取了澳大利亞女性作家伊麗莎白·喬利(Elizabeth Jolley)短篇小說集Five Acre Virgin and Other Stories(譯名《五英畝處女地和其它故事》)中的短篇小說The Travelling Entertainer(譯名《巡回演出者》)為翻譯對象,在完成翻譯實(shí)踐的基礎(chǔ)上,就小說的環(huán)境描寫翻譯進(jìn)行了實(shí)踐反思,撰寫翻譯報告。筆者在研究伊麗莎白·喬利的作品時發(fā)現(xiàn),喬利喜歡運(yùn)用大量的環(huán)境描寫烘托氣氛、烘托人物、塑造邊緣人物的悲劇形象。筆者在了解原文的基礎(chǔ)上對于小說中環(huán)境描寫進(jìn)行分析,選取詞法方面和句法方面進(jìn)行舉例,分析了正確處理環(huán)境翻譯中的語言現(xiàn)象對文學(xué)文本的重要意義。具體而言,可以使用四字結(jié)構(gòu)、譯詞為句、增譯法和拆分法等方法,達(dá)到對邊緣人物的塑造、烘托及深化小說主題等目的。
[Abstract]:This translation practice takes the short story The Travelling Entertainer( translation from the collection of short stories by Australian female writer Elizabeth Jolley ("five acres of virgin land and other stories") as the object of translation. On the basis of the translation practice, this paper makes a practical reflection on the environmental description translation of the novel and writes the translation report. When studying Elizabeth Jolly's works, the author finds that Jolly likes to use a large amount of environment to describe atmosphere, set off characters, and portray the tragic image of marginal characters. On the basis of understanding the original text, the author analyzes the description of the environment in the novel, chooses lexical and syntactic aspects to give examples, and analyzes the significance of correctly handling the linguistic phenomena in environmental translation to the literary text. In particular, we can use the four-character structure, the translation of words as sentences, the method of adding and translating and the method of splitting, to achieve the purpose of portraying, setting off and deepening the theme of the novel.
