【摘要】：元話語(metadiscourse)指理解語言使用、表示作者或說話人引導(dǎo)受眾理解語篇的一種手段。元話語資源不僅有助于作者連貫地組織文本,而且能夠協(xié)助作者更有效地表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)以及實(shí)現(xiàn)與讀者互動(dòng)的目的�，F(xiàn)有關(guān)于元話語的研究主要存在以下不足:(1)對英語學(xué)習(xí)者(特別是中國英語學(xué)習(xí)者)元話語使用情況的研究相對不足;(2)對不同學(xué)歷層次英語學(xué)習(xí)者元話語使用情況的研究相對不足;(3)對英語學(xué)習(xí)者撰寫的學(xué)術(shù)語篇的關(guān)注相對不足。鑒于此,本研究以Hyland(2005)提出的元話語的人際意義模式為理論框架,采用自建語料庫的方式,調(diào)查我國不同學(xué)歷層次英語專業(yè)學(xué)生(學(xué)士、碩士、博士)在應(yīng)用語言學(xué)學(xué)位論文中元話語的使用現(xiàn)狀。研究發(fā)現(xiàn):(1)碩士學(xué)位論文中元話語資源的使用頻次顯著低于學(xué)士學(xué)位論文和博士學(xué)位論文,然而學(xué)士和博士學(xué)位論文之間元話語的使用則不存在顯著差異。就元話語使用類型而言,我國英語專業(yè)學(xué)生在學(xué)位論文中對引導(dǎo)式元話語的使用頻次顯著高于其對互動(dòng)式元話語的使用;(2)不同學(xué)歷層次學(xué)位論文中引導(dǎo)式元話語的使用頻次差異顯著,其中博士學(xué)位論文中引導(dǎo)式元話語的使用頻次顯著高于學(xué)士學(xué)位論文,而學(xué)士學(xué)位論文中引導(dǎo)式元話語的使用頻次又顯著高于碩士學(xué)位論文;(3)不同學(xué)歷層次學(xué)位論文中互動(dòng)式元話語的使用差異顯著,其中碩士學(xué)位論文中互動(dòng)式元話語的使用頻次顯著低于博士學(xué)位論文,但學(xué)士學(xué)位論文與其他兩組之間互動(dòng)式元話語的使用不存在顯著差異。本研究不僅加深了我們對于學(xué)術(shù)語篇人際性的認(rèn)識,而且對于學(xué)術(shù)論文寫作以及教材編寫也具有一定的參考價(jià)值。
[Abstract]:Meta-discourse is a means of understanding the use of language, which means that the author or speaker guides the audience to understand the text. Meta-discourse resources can not only help the author organize the text coherently, but also help the author express his views more effectively and achieve the purpose of interacting with the reader. The existing studies on meta discourse mainly include the following deficiencies: 1) the use of meta-discourse among English learners (especially Chinese EFL learners) is relatively inadequate. 2) the use of meta-discourse among English learners with different academic qualifications. There is a relative lack of attention to the academic discourse written by English learners. In view of this, this study takes the interpersonal meaning model of meta-discourse proposed by Hylandan 2005 as the theoretical framework, and adopts the method of self-built corpus to investigate the English majors (Bachelor's, Master's degree) with different degrees of education in China. Ph. D.) the use of meta discourse in a degree thesis in Applied Linguistics. It is found that the frequency of use of meta-discourse resources in master thesis is significantly lower than that in bachelor's thesis and doctoral thesis, but there is no significant difference between the use of meta-discourse between bachelor's thesis and doctoral thesis. As far as the types of meta discourse use are concerned, The frequency of guiding meta discourse used by Chinese English majors is significantly higher than that of interactive meta discourse. The frequency of guiding meta discourse in doctoral thesis is significantly higher than that in bachelor's thesis. However, the frequency of using guiding meta discourse in bachelor's degree thesis is significantly higher than that in master's degree thesis (3) there are significant differences in the use of interactive meta utterance among different academic levels. The frequency of use of interactive meta-discourse in master thesis is significantly lower than that in doctoral thesis, but there is no significant difference between the two groups in the use of interactive meta-discourse. This study not only deepens our understanding of the interpersonal nature of academic discourse, but also has some reference value for the writing of academic papers and the compilation of textbooks.
