【摘要】：本論文是一篇英譯中翻譯實踐報告,以勵志類書籍《自負(fù)是敵人》第二章的漢譯實踐為研究對象,這本書主要講述名人故事,他們的成功或失敗與“自負(fù)”密切相關(guān)。本書作者是美國最年輕的網(wǎng)絡(luò)營銷作家瑞安·霍利迪,他通過講述名人故事來啟發(fā)讀者正確對待“自負(fù)”,闡述了“自負(fù)”對于成功的重要性。案例分析之前,本報告對翻譯項目和翻譯過程進(jìn)行了簡單介紹。在翻譯過程中,主要以卡特琳娜·賴斯的文本類型理論為依據(jù),將《自負(fù)是敵人》的文本類型和翻譯策略聯(lián)系起來進(jìn)行具體探討。文本類型理論可以理解為文本的語言功能決定文本類型,而文本類型決定翻譯策略。本報告中涉及到的三種文本類型分別是:信息功能文本、表情功能文本和感召功能文本。翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)、策略和技巧的具體運用取決于不同文本的特點和翻譯目的。通過分析原文本的語言特點和語言功能等因素來確定文本類型,然后視具體情況采用相應(yīng)的翻譯策略,包括詞性轉(zhuǎn)換、詞義選擇、增譯、省譯、語序調(diào)整等。通過此次翻譯實踐,譯者深入學(xué)習(xí)和研究了賴斯的文本類型理論,并能將不同的翻譯策略和技巧熟練應(yīng)用于不同類型的文本翻譯中,這對今后勵志類書籍的翻譯實踐有一定的借鑒作用。
[Abstract]:This thesis is a practical report on translating Chinese into English. It focuses on the translation practice in chapter two of the inspirational book conceited as the enemy. This book mainly deals with the stories of famous people whose success or failure is closely related to conceit. The author of this book is Ryan Holiday, America's youngest online marketing writer, who tells celebrity stories to enlighten readers on the importance of egotism to success. Prior to the case study, this report gives a brief introduction to the translation project and the translation process. On the basis of Catalina Rice's theory of text type, this paper makes a detailed study of the text type of "ego is the enemy" and the translation strategy in the process of translation. Text type theory can be understood as the language function of text determines text type, and text type determines translation strategy. The three types of text involved in this report are: information function text, facial expression function text and call function text. The application of translation criteria, strategies and techniques depends on the characteristics and purposes of different texts. The text type is determined by analyzing the language characteristics and language functions of the original text, and then the corresponding translation strategies are adopted according to the specific situation, including part of speech conversion, word meaning selection, increasing translation, saving translation, word order adjustment and so on. Through this translation practice, the translator has studied Rice's text typology theory in depth and has been able to apply different translation strategies and techniques to different types of text translation. This will be helpful to the translation practice of inspirational books in the future.
