【摘要】：本文是一篇翻譯實踐報告,翻譯原文本選自由巴茲爾·哈蒂姆(Basil Hatim)和杰里米·芒迪(Jeremy Munday)兩位譯學界名人合著的《高級譯學原典讀本》(Translation:an advanced resource book)。筆者對其中第二章原典拓展(Section B Extension)的第一節(jié)“什么是翻譯”(What is translation?)、第二節(jié)“翻譯策略”(Translation strategies)、第三節(jié)“翻譯單位”(The unit of translation)及第四節(jié)“翻譯轉換”(Translation shifts)的內容進行了漢譯。此書主要特點是從語言學角度研究翻譯。第一節(jié)主要介紹了翻譯的定義、翻譯學名稱問題及研究范圍。第二節(jié)主要討論了翻譯策略及有關贊成或反對可譯性的觀點。第三節(jié)主要論述了翻譯單位的定義和概念。第四節(jié)主要討論了不同語言之間的翻譯轉換及轉換類型,即層次轉換(level shifts)和范疇轉換(category shifts)及研究翻譯轉換的方法,其中主要介紹了翻譯轉換的兩種翻譯方法:直接翻譯(direct or literal translation)和曲徑翻譯(oblique translation)。鑒于此原文文本為翻譯理論專著,語篇中用詞正式、多長句。為了力求在忠實、準確傳達原文信息的基礎上,使譯文更加符合目的語讀者的閱讀習慣及閱讀期待,筆者以奈達的“功能對等”(functional equivalence)為理論依據(jù)來指導此次翻譯實踐,針對語篇中長句的漢譯主要運用了轉詞為句、斷句譯法、換序譯法及轉態(tài)譯法等具體翻譯方法和技巧。通過此次翻譯實踐,筆者對翻譯學及翻譯活動有了更加全面、深刻的認識。翻譯不僅僅是語言間的簡單轉換,更是一項極其復雜的活動,涉及諸多領域和行業(yè)。譯者想要譯出更好的譯文,除了精通多種語言之外,還要掌握一定的翻譯理論和技巧、淵博的知識及搜索信息的能力。
[Abstract]:This is a translation practice report, the translation of the original version of "Basil Hatim" and Jeremy Mundy (Jeremy Munday) two translatology celebrities co written by the "Translation:an advanced resource book" (Translation:an Advanced Resource Book). The author of which the first section of the original code (Section B Extension) "first section" what is the first section of "Section B Extension". It is translation "(What is translation?), the second section of" translation strategy "(Translation strategies), the third section of" translation unit "(The unit of translation) and the four section" translation conversion "(Translation shifts). The main special point of this book is to study translation from the linguistic perspective. The first section mainly introduces translation. In the second section, the second section mainly discusses the definition and concept of the translation unit. The third section mainly discusses the definition and concept of the translation unit. The fourth section mainly discusses the translation and conversion types between different languages, namely, the level conversion (shifts) and the category conversion ( Category shifts) and the method of translation translation, which mainly introduces two methods of Translation Translation: direct or literal translation and oblique translation. In view of the original text of this text as a monograph of translation theory, formal words and long sentences are used in the text. On the basis of information, the translation is more consistent with the reading habits and expectations of the target language readers. The author uses Nida's "functional equivalence" as the theoretical basis to guide the translation practice. Through this translation practice, the author has a more comprehensive and profound understanding of translation studies and translation activities. Translation is not only a simple translation between languages, but also an extremely complex activity involving many fields and industries. A set of translation theories and techniques, profound knowledge and ability to search information.
