【摘要】：《締造幸福人生》是美國著名商業(yè)作家詹姆斯.奧圖爾在2005年5月發(fā)表的一本勵志書。在該勵志書中,奧圖爾以自己獨到的視角,通過豐富實例論述亞里士多幸福實踐對當(dāng)下美國的價值和意義。原文語言簡煉,邏輯清晰,是有效文本。根據(jù)文本內(nèi)容和語言特色,原文定位為信息文本為主,表達(dá)文本為輔,但屬于軟性文本,在翻譯中譯者有一定的彈性空間。本翻譯報告以《締造幸福人生》前言和第一章為翻譯對象,歸納、總結(jié)本翻譯實踐典型案例。重點是運用功能目的論以及英漢對比研究成果為原則分析本翻譯實踐典型案例,討論如何跨越語言和文化障礙,實現(xiàn)此類文本英譯漢的交際功能和文化功能。根據(jù)功能目的論,翻譯的主要目的是交際,故本報告主要采取歸化和意譯處理翻譯實踐問題。鑒于英漢兩種語言的相對特征,運用增補、省譯、分譯法、句序調(diào)整等翻譯技巧處理具體語言翻譯問題,同時還注意英漢銜接和連貫手段不同在翻譯中的處理。本報告表明1)英譯漢過程也是英漢對比過程,也說明了英漢對比研究成果對譯文評析和修改有重要意義;同時也說明譯文修改是翻譯的重要環(huán)節(jié),也是對譯文取舍的結(jié)果;2)譯者的文化立場和語言表達(dá)偏好可能會影響到翻譯策略以及譯文的取舍。本報告由四部分組成。第一章為前言部分,簡述本翻譯項目背景、研究內(nèi)容和意義,同時還簡介本翻譯報告組成部分;第二章主要論述翻譯的準(zhǔn)備工作及其作用;第三章是案例分析,是本翻譯報告的核心內(nèi)容,重點研究文化負(fù)載詞及重難點句子的翻譯;最后一章是本翻譯報告的總結(jié)。
[Abstract]:Making a Happy Life is James, a famous American business writer. Otto published an inspirational book in May 2005. In this inspirational book, Otto discusses the value and significance of Aristotle's happiness practice in the present America from his own unique perspective. The original language is simple, the logic is clear, is the valid text. According to the content and linguistic characteristics of the text, the original text is mainly information text, while the expressive text is secondary, but it belongs to soft text, and the translator has some flexibility in translation. Based on the preface and the first chapter of "creating a Happy Life", this translation report summarizes the typical cases of translation practice. The emphasis is on the application of functional Skopos theory and English-Chinese contrastive studies to analyze typical cases of translation practice and discuss how to overcome language and cultural barriers to achieve the communicative and cultural functions of such texts. According to the functional Skopos theory, the main purpose of translation is communication, so this report mainly adopts domestication and free translation to deal with translation practice. In view of the relative characteristics of English and Chinese translation techniques such as supplement economizing translation subdivision and sentence order adjustment are used to deal with specific language translation problems. At the same time attention is paid to the different approaches to cohesion and coherence in English and Chinese translation. The present report shows that 1) the process of English-Chinese translation is also an English-Chinese contrastive process, which also shows that the results of contrastive studies in English and Chinese are of great significance to the evaluation and revision of the translation, and that the revision of the translation is an important link in the translation. It is also the result of the choice of the target text. 2) the translator's cultural position and linguistic expression preference may affect the translation strategy and the choice of the target text. The present report consists of four parts. The first chapter is a foreword, which briefly describes the background, contents and significance of this translation project, and also introduces the components of this translation report. Chapter two mainly discusses the preparation of translation and its role. Chapter three is a case study. This paper focuses on the translation of culture-loaded words and difficult sentences. The last chapter is a summary of the translation report.
