CBI在高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用研究

【摘要】:閱讀作為語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的四大基本技能之一,起著檢驗(yàn)學(xué)生理解能力和分析能力的重要功能,同時(shí)它也是學(xué)生獲得可理解性輸入語(yǔ)料的重要來源,直接關(guān)系到學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合水平。因此,閱讀一直是高中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)。近年來,隨著新課改的實(shí)施與發(fā)展,以及高考改革工作的進(jìn)行,閱讀在高中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的地位越來越重要。然而,當(dāng)前的高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)仍然存在教師教學(xué)方式落后、閱讀材料內(nèi)容枯燥、閱讀文本來源形式單一等問題。為適應(yīng)當(dāng)前教育形式的需要,高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)應(yīng)更新教學(xué)理念,變革教學(xué)方法,以提高閱讀教學(xué)質(zhì)量!皟(nèi)容依托式教學(xué)”(Content-based Instruction,下簡(jiǎn)稱CBI)興起于20世紀(jì)60年代末,隨后迅速成為西方教育教學(xué)研究的熱點(diǎn)。CBI以交際語(yǔ)言教學(xué)為基礎(chǔ),將學(xué)科內(nèi)容和語(yǔ)言形式有機(jī)結(jié)合,打破了傳統(tǒng)語(yǔ)言教學(xué)將語(yǔ)言要素和內(nèi)容人為地割裂開來的現(xiàn)象,是對(duì)傳統(tǒng)語(yǔ)言教學(xué)的一大挑戰(zhàn)。然而在我國(guó),關(guān)于CBI在高中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用研究還比較匱乏。因此,本論文試圖通過研究,將CBI與高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)相結(jié)合,探討其在我國(guó)高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中實(shí)施的可能性,旨在為高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)改革提供可參照教學(xué)思路和教學(xué)模式。本論文主要圍繞兩個(gè)研究問題展開:一、將CBI應(yīng)用到高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中能否提高學(xué)生的閱讀興趣和動(dòng)機(jī)?二、將CBI應(yīng)用到高中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中能否提高學(xué)生的閱讀水平?針對(duì)研究問題,作者選取山東省濟(jì)南市歷城區(qū)某高中兩個(gè)平行班共102名學(xué)生為實(shí)驗(yàn)對(duì)象,展開了為期四個(gè)月的實(shí)驗(yàn)研究。在實(shí)驗(yàn)過程中,對(duì)實(shí)驗(yàn)組學(xué)生采用CBI閱讀教學(xué)模式,對(duì)照組則延續(xù)傳統(tǒng)的英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)方法。本研究運(yùn)用測(cè)試、問卷調(diào)查、訪談等研究方法進(jìn)行數(shù)據(jù)收集,并運(yùn)用描述統(tǒng)計(jì)、配對(duì)樣本t-檢驗(yàn)等方式對(duì)數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行分析。最后,研究結(jié)果表明:1.CBI能夠提高學(xué)生的閱讀興趣和閱讀動(dòng)機(jī)。問卷調(diào)查和訪談結(jié)果顯示,在實(shí)行一段時(shí)間的CBI英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)之后,學(xué)生的閱讀興趣有明顯提高,對(duì)閱讀課的評(píng)價(jià)也從“枯燥無味”轉(zhuǎn)向“頗有期待”;同時(shí)閱讀動(dòng)機(jī)也不再單純以應(yīng)試或完成作業(yè)為主,而更多注重提高自己的閱讀能力和擴(kuò)大知識(shí)范圍等;2.CBI能夠有效提高學(xué)生的閱讀水平。通過分析學(xué)生的閱讀前測(cè)和后測(cè)成績(jī),作者發(fā)現(xiàn),在實(shí)驗(yàn)實(shí)施之前,實(shí)驗(yàn)班和對(duì)照班學(xué)生的閱讀成績(jī)相差無幾,但經(jīng)過四個(gè)月的CBI教學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)之后,實(shí)驗(yàn)班的后測(cè)成績(jī)明顯提高,而對(duì)照班成績(jī)則變化不大;3.與傳統(tǒng)閱讀教學(xué)模式相比,CBI有許多優(yōu)點(diǎn)。它能促進(jìn)學(xué)生閱讀動(dòng)機(jī)發(fā)生積極改變,能夠培養(yǎng)學(xué)生主動(dòng)學(xué)習(xí)的能力,能夠提高學(xué)生的綜合語(yǔ)言水平等。但在實(shí)驗(yàn)過程中,CBI也顯示出一些局限性,需要教師和學(xué)生的進(jìn)一步改進(jìn)和完善。因此,本論文證實(shí)了CBI確是一種行之有效的教學(xué)理念和教學(xué)模式,對(duì)當(dāng)前英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)改革有重要參考之處。
[Abstract]:As one of the four basic language learning skills, reading plays an important role in testing students' comprehension and analytical ability, and it is also an important source for students to obtain comprehensible input data, which is directly related to students' comprehensive English proficiency.Therefore, reading has always been the focus and difficulty of English teaching in senior high school.In recent years, with the implementation and development of the new curriculum reform and the reform of the college entrance examination, reading plays an increasingly important role in English teaching in senior high schools.However, there are still some problems in English reading teaching in senior high school, such as backward teaching methods, boring reading materials, single source form of reading text, and so on.In order to meet the needs of the current educational form, English reading teaching in senior high schools should renew its teaching concept and reform its teaching methods in order to improve the quality of reading teaching.Content-based instruction, or CBI-based instruction, rose in the late 1960s, and then became a hot topic in western educational research. CBI is based on communicative language teaching, which combines subject content with language form.It is a great challenge to traditional language teaching to break the language elements and contents artificially.However, the research on the application of CBI in high school English teaching is still scarce in our country.Therefore, this thesis attempts to combine CBI with high school English reading teaching to explore the possibility of its implementation in high school English reading teaching in China.The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference for the reform of English reading teaching in senior high school.This thesis mainly focuses on two research questions: first, whether the application of CBI to English reading teaching in senior high school can improve the students' reading interest and motivation?Second, can the application of CBI to English reading teaching in senior high school improve students' reading level?In order to solve the problem, the author selected 102 students from two parallel classes in a senior high school in Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, as the subjects of the experiment, and carried out an experimental study for four months.In the course of the experiment, the experimental group adopted CBI reading teaching mode, while the control group continued the traditional English reading teaching method.In this study, data collection is carried out by means of test, questionnaire and interview, and the data are analyzed by descriptive statistics, paired sample t- test and so on.Finally, the results show that: 1. CBI can improve students' reading interest and motivation.The results of questionnaires and interviews show that after a period of CBI English reading teaching, the students' interest in reading has obviously improved, and the evaluation of reading lessons has changed from "boring" to "quite expectant".At the same time, reading motivation is no longer merely examination-oriented or homework completion, but more attention to improve their reading ability and expand the scope of knowledge. 2. CBI can effectively improve the students' reading level.Based on the analysis of the students' pre-reading and post-test scores, the author found that before the experiment was carried out, the reading scores of the students in the experimental class and the control class were no different, but after four months of CBI teaching experiment, the post-test scores of the experimental class were obviously improved.The results of the control class did not change much.Compared with the traditional reading teaching mode, CBI has many advantages.It can promote the positive change of students' reading motivation, cultivate students' ability of active learning and improve students' comprehensive language level.But in the process of experiment, CBI also shows some limitations, and needs further improvement and perfection of teachers and students.Therefore, this thesis proves that CBI is an effective teaching concept and teaching mode, which is an important reference for the current reform of English reading teaching.
