【摘要】：林語(yǔ)堂是一位"文化使者",他的古文小品英譯讓不少西方人對(duì)中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文人乃至中國(guó)人的精神、審美、趣味和日常生活有了直觀的了解。林語(yǔ)堂致力于向西方推介中國(guó)文化,有著"以我為主"、"中西融通"的文化姿態(tài)。林譯忠實(shí)精美,堪稱典范,但在典故傳說(shuō)、文化意象、風(fēng)土器物、文意理解等方面存在諸多誤譯。這些誤譯有助于更加全面客觀地評(píng)估林譯,同時(shí)又促使我們思考在文化與文學(xué)"走出去"的思潮和實(shí)踐中譯者的"文化姿態(tài)"與"中西學(xué)"平衡問(wèn)題。
[Abstract]:Lin Yutang is a "cultural emissary". His English translation of ancient essays has given many westerners an intuitive understanding of the spirit, aesthetics, taste and daily life of Chinese traditional literati and even of Chinese people. Lin Yutang is committed to introducing Chinese culture to the West. There is a cultural attitude of "taking me as the main body" and "blending China and the West". Lin translated it faithfully and beautifully, but in allusion and legend, cultural imagery, local artifacts, There are many mistranslations in literary meaning understanding and other aspects, which are helpful to a more comprehensive and objective assessment of Lin's translation. At the same time, it urges us to think about the balance between the translator's "cultural posture" and "Chinese and western learning" in the trend of thought of "going out" in culture and literature and in practice.
