英中同傳訓(xùn)練中設(shè)置聽眾對譯文輸出效果的影響

【摘要】:本論文以丹尼爾·吉爾(Daniel Gile)的認(rèn)知負(fù)荷模型為理論框架,在對比實(shí)驗(yàn)、問卷調(diào)查與綜合分析的基礎(chǔ)上,研究英中同傳訓(xùn)練中設(shè)置聽眾對以中文為母語的譯員在譯文傳輸效果(譯文質(zhì)量)的影響。實(shí)驗(yàn)選用英國首相卡梅倫關(guān)于極端主義的演講,選取12名口譯水平與專業(yè)背景相當(dāng)?shù)目谧g學(xué)習(xí)者作為被試人。受試者被均分為兩組,分別在有聽眾和無聽眾的兩種情況下進(jìn)行同傳對比實(shí)驗(yàn),筆者觀察并記錄譯員的表現(xiàn)。隨后,作者通過吉爾的負(fù)荷模型重點(diǎn)比較以信息譯出率、信息準(zhǔn)確性、邏輯清晰度、表達(dá)流利度和交流性為代表的傳輸效果指標(biāo)。接著,作者結(jié)合反饋問卷對實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計(jì)、分析,最后得出結(jié)論。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),英中同傳訓(xùn)練中設(shè)置聽眾有助于譯文質(zhì)量的提高。在一定難度和壓力(負(fù)荷)范圍內(nèi),兩組譯員在譯文準(zhǔn)確性與完整性方面差異不大;在譯文邏輯性及交流性方面,聽眾組的譯文輸出質(zhì)量要遠(yuǎn)高于無聽眾組。而當(dāng)難度和壓力超過了一定范圍,聽眾組承受的負(fù)荷更大,表現(xiàn)次于無聽眾組。究其原理,在一定難度范圍之內(nèi),聽眾組譯員受到聽眾存在的影響,用于協(xié)調(diào)的負(fù)荷更多,更積極地使用負(fù)荷應(yīng)對策略去調(diào)整譯文、更有效地利用原文的內(nèi)在語境,從而提高了對文章的理解以及譯文的邏輯性與交流性;而這種邏輯性和交流性的提高又進(jìn)一步增強(qiáng)了譯者對原文和語境的把握。此時(shí)用于聽與記的所需負(fù)荷減少,譯員有更多精力協(xié)調(diào)譯文輸出。由此循環(huán),不僅提高了譯文質(zhì)量,還增強(qiáng)了譯員的理解力和抗壓能力。另外,對問卷的分析結(jié)果也驗(yàn)證了定量分析的結(jié)論,譯中聽眾的設(shè)置有助于提高譯文質(zhì)量;譯后聽眾對譯員及時(shí)的反饋也有助于增強(qiáng)口譯學(xué)習(xí)者學(xué)習(xí)的針對性、進(jìn)一步提高學(xué)習(xí)效率。本研究從實(shí)踐上拓寬了譯文質(zhì)量評估的研究視角,對口譯學(xué)習(xí)有著實(shí)際的指導(dǎo)意義?谧g學(xué)習(xí)者在尚未形成一套成熟抗壓系統(tǒng)的情況下,有必要在口譯訓(xùn)練中設(shè)置聽眾角色,并根據(jù)聽眾的設(shè)置有針對性地攻克口譯學(xué)習(xí)過程中的問題,從而逐步提高口譯學(xué)習(xí)者的抗壓能力和精力分配能力、更有效地提高譯文質(zhì)量。
[Abstract]:This thesis takes Daniel Gile's cognitive load model as the theoretical framework, based on comparative experiments, questionnaires and comprehensive analysis. To study the effect of setting up listeners in English and Chinese simultaneous communication training on the effect of translation transmission (translation quality) by Chinese-speaking interpreters. The experiment selected British Prime Minister David Cameron's speech on extremism. Twelve interpreting learners with similar professional background were selected as subjects. The subjects were divided into two groups. The author observed and recorded the performance of the interpreter. Then, through Gill's load model, the author compared the transmission effect indicators represented by information translation rate, information accuracy, logic clarity, expression fluency and communication. Based on the feedback questionnaire, the author makes a statistical analysis of the experimental results and draws a conclusion. It is found that setting listeners in the same English and Chinese communication training helps to improve the quality of the translation, within a certain degree of difficulty and pressure (load). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the accuracy and completeness of the translation. In terms of the logical and communicative aspects of the translation, the quality of the translation output of the audience group was much higher than that of the non-listener group, and when the difficulty and pressure exceeded a certain range, The audience group bears a greater burden than the non-listener group. In principle, within a certain range of difficulties, the listener group interpreter is affected by the presence of the audience and has more load to coordinate. More active use of load coping strategies to adjust the translation, more effective use of the internal context of the original, thus improving the understanding of the text as well as the logical and communicative nature of the translation; This increase in logic and communication further enhances the translator's grasp of the source text and context. At this time, the burden of listening and memorizing is reduced, and the interpreter has more energy to coordinate the output of the translation. This cycle not only improves the quality of the translation, but also improves the quality of the translation. In addition, the analysis of the questionnaire also verifies the conclusion of quantitative analysis, and the audience setting in the translation helps to improve the quality of the translation; The timely feedback from the audience to interpreters after translation can also help enhance the pertinence of learners' learning and further improve their learning efficiency. The present study has broadened the perspective of translation quality assessment in practice. It is of practical significance for interpreting learners to set up the role of audience in interpreting training without forming a set of mature anti-pressure system. According to the setting of the audience, we can solve the problems in the process of interpreting learning, so as to gradually improve the ability of resisting pressure and distributing energy, and improve the translation quality more effectively.
