【摘要】：本翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告以彼得·紐馬克提出的文本類型和交際翻譯理論為指導(dǎo),對(duì)作者實(shí)習(xí)期間所做的《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》雜志科技新聞翻譯進(jìn)行研究,初步探討《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》雜志中英語(yǔ)科技新聞的漢譯方法。作者主要從詞匯、句子以及修辭三個(gè)層面總結(jié)翻譯實(shí)踐中遇到的問(wèn)題,進(jìn)行深入剖析,并嘗試提出相應(yīng)解決辦法。具體來(lái)說(shuō),詞匯方面,科技新聞專有名詞和術(shù)語(yǔ)應(yīng)該添加注釋從而為目的語(yǔ)讀者掃清閱讀障礙,對(duì)于新聞中的一詞多義現(xiàn)象應(yīng)該充分結(jié)合上下文選擇詞義,并刪除容易造成譯文冗余的功能詞;句子方面,在翻譯長(zhǎng)句時(shí),應(yīng)理清句子邏輯結(jié)構(gòu),必要時(shí)適當(dāng)劃分層次并重組,以符合漢語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言表達(dá)習(xí)慣;修辭方面,對(duì)《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》雜志中科技新聞標(biāo)題中經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的頭韻和尾韻應(yīng)使用漢語(yǔ)四字格或諺語(yǔ)以保留其音律感,借用漢語(yǔ)中的雙關(guān)以及戲仿從而再現(xiàn)原文標(biāo)題的魅力。作者希望該報(bào)告研究成果能為《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》雜志科技新聞翻譯提供一些啟示,為提高科技新聞翻譯質(zhì)量并為其他翻譯者提供可行的解決方案。
[Abstract]:Guided by Peter Newmark's text types and communicative translation theory, this translation practice studies the scientific news translation of the Economist magazine during his internship. This paper probes into the translation methods of English science and technology news in the Economist magazine. The author summarizes the problems in translation practice from three aspects: vocabulary, sentence and rhetoric, and makes a thorough analysis. Specifically, in terms of vocabulary, technical news terms and terminology should be annotated in order to clear the reading barrier for the target language readers. The polysemy of a word in the news should be fully combined with the context to select the meaning of the word and delete the functional words which are prone to redundancy in the translation. In the aspect of sentences, when translating long sentences, the logical structure of the sentences should be clarified, and if necessary, the appropriate levels should be divided and reorganized. In rhetorical terms, the alliteration and ending rhyme frequently appearing in scientific and technological news headlines in the Economist magazine should be expressed in Chinese four-character cases or proverbs in order to retain their rhythmic sense. Using puns and parody in Chinese to reproduce the charm of the original title, the author hopes that the findings of the report will provide some enlightenment for the translation of scientific and technological news from the Economist magazine. In order to improve the quality of science and technology news translation and provide feasible solutions for other translators.
