本論文以哲學(xué)闡釋學(xué)為理論指導(dǎo),以伽達默爾提出的“理解的歷史性”,“視域融合”和“效果歷史”哲學(xué)三原則為切入點,研究美國漢學(xué)家白之翻譯的湯顯祖《牡丹亭》中文化負(fù)載詞翻譯,評析其得失,探尋其成因,以期為古典文學(xué)作品中文化負(fù)載詞的翻譯提供一定參照。本研究結(jié)果表明,從“理解的歷史性”來看,在具體歷史環(huán)境中,白之的認(rèn)知具有某種歷史局限性,其“合理的偏見”或前理解造成的文化負(fù)載詞的欠額翻譯,未能傳達文化負(fù)載詞的深義;但從“視域融合”原則來看,由于文化差異,在《牡丹亭》的翻譯過程中實現(xiàn)譯者、譯文讀者和原文作者三者之間完全的視域融合是不可能的。論文指出,白之在翻譯過程中進行了文化過濾,省略了文化負(fù)載詞的文化意象,方便目標(biāo)讀者理解作品,但卻未能準(zhǔn)確地傳播中國傳統(tǒng)文化�！靶Ч麣v史”原則強調(diào)文本意義的開放性和未完成性。就此而言,白之由于歷史局限性或自身認(rèn)知水平的原因,導(dǎo)致不少欠額翻譯;而因文化過濾等又造成譯文的形式或內(nèi)容等方面的不必要的缺失。這些不足,召喚后來者在新的歷史時期,深入理解文化負(fù)載詞,予以重譯該作品。文化負(fù)載詞的翻譯應(yīng)該隨時代的語言要求而變化,適時重譯可望完善其語言文化意蘊。論文依據(jù)伽達默爾的哲...
