修辭的藝術(shù) ——《黑王子》中不可靠敘事的修辭敘事學(xué)研究

艾麗絲·默多克是愛爾蘭著名小說家。小說《黑王子》是她的代表作。該小說曾獲得1973年詹姆斯·泰勒·布萊克紀(jì)念獎。這部小說一經(jīng)問世就受到了學(xué)術(shù)界的廣泛關(guān)注。中外學(xué)者對其研究的成果較為豐碩。然而學(xué)術(shù)界用修辭性敘事理論對其不可靠敘事的研究甚少,更是鮮有人系統(tǒng)地用詹姆斯·費倫的修辭敘事學(xué)理論對其進(jìn)行研究。在這部小說中,多敘事視角并置,且每一位敘事者的敘事都是不可靠的。本文運用詹姆斯·費倫的修辭敘事學(xué)理論,剖析了《黑王子》中的不可靠敘事,展現(xiàn)了默多克高超的修辭藝術(shù)。本論文由費倫的修辭敘事學(xué)理論指導(dǎo)完成。首先,論文運用費倫所分類的不可靠性發(fā)生的交際軸,詳細(xì)分析主要敘事者布拉德利與次要人物克里斯蒂安、弗朗西斯、雷切爾和朱利安的不可靠敘事。并且指出編輯羅西亞斯是隱含作者的代言人。第二,費倫把不可靠性又分為“疏遠(yuǎn)型不可靠性”與“密切型不可靠性”。本論文又以費倫的此分類為指導(dǎo),探究了在《黑王子》中由于不可靠敘事而產(chǎn)生的讀者效果。對讀者而言,不可靠敘事產(chǎn)生了對敘事者的反諷的效果,且一定程度上模糊了讀者對真兇的判斷,從而使讀者遠(yuǎn)離了敘事者。而當(dāng)讀者意識到布拉德利在逐漸接近作者規(guī)范時又對其產(chǎn)生認(rèn)同感,并通過與其...
