功能翻譯理論視角下的中國(guó)高校網(wǎng)頁(yè)“學(xué)校簡(jiǎn)介”的英譯研究

【摘要】:近年來(lái),隨著全球化趨勢(shì)的增強(qiáng),國(guó)際間的交往越來(lái)越頻繁,關(guān)系越來(lái)越密切。與此同時(shí),各大國(guó)內(nèi)高校紛紛建立了英文網(wǎng)頁(yè),以此來(lái)宣傳學(xué)校的綜合實(shí)力,擴(kuò)大國(guó)際影響力,進(jìn)而吸引大批留學(xué)生或國(guó)外學(xué)者來(lái)進(jìn)修學(xué)習(xí)。英文網(wǎng)頁(yè)是高校展示實(shí)力的一個(gè)重要平臺(tái)。英文網(wǎng)頁(yè)的翻譯是影響其效果的重要因素。各大國(guó)內(nèi)高校逐漸認(rèn)識(shí)到英文網(wǎng)頁(yè)的重要性,并對(duì)其進(jìn)行改善。但仍然有許多高校在英文網(wǎng)頁(yè)的翻譯上存在許多問題。由于中西方的文化,價(jià)值觀等眾多因素的差異,需要譯者具備多方的能力,盡量在翻譯時(shí)站在讀者的角度出發(fā),這樣才能真正達(dá)到交流的作用。本文從國(guó)內(nèi)高校網(wǎng)頁(yè)“學(xué)校簡(jiǎn)介”一欄出發(fā),發(fā)現(xiàn)存在的問題,并對(duì)其進(jìn)行深入分析,進(jìn)而提出全面的翻譯策略。該篇論文從功能翻譯理論角度出發(fā),研究國(guó)內(nèi)高校網(wǎng)頁(yè)“學(xué)校簡(jiǎn)介”的英譯。功能翻譯理論認(rèn)為,翻譯是有目的的行為,要根據(jù)不同的文本類型采取不同的翻譯策略。翻譯是一種交際活動(dòng),是兩種文化之間的轉(zhuǎn)換。一名合格的譯者,在翻譯時(shí)不僅要單單的保留原文,更要做到在目的語(yǔ)的情境中翻譯,也就是在對(duì)原文保留的基礎(chǔ)上,進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)男薷摹9δ苤髁x翻譯理論對(duì)高校網(wǎng)頁(yè)“學(xué)校簡(jiǎn)介”的英譯具有重要的指導(dǎo)意義。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the increasing trend of globalization, international exchanges become more and more frequent and the relationship is more and more close. At the same time, various domestic universities have set up English web pages to promote the comprehensive strength of the school and expand its international influence, thus attracting a large number of foreign students or foreign scholars to pursue further studies. English web page is an important platform for colleges and universities to show their strength. Translation of English web pages is an important factor affecting its effectiveness. The major domestic colleges and universities gradually recognize the importance of the English web page and improve it. However, there are still many problems in the translation of English web pages in many colleges and universities. Due to the differences of many factors, such as Chinese and western cultures, values and so on, translators are required to have various abilities and try their best to stand in the perspective of readers when translating, so that they can really achieve the role of communication. Starting from the field of "introduction to Schools", this paper finds out the existing problems, analyzes them in depth, and then puts forward a comprehensive translation strategy. This paper, from the perspective of functional translation theory, studies the English translation of "introduction to Schools" on the web pages of universities and colleges in China. According to the functional translation theory, translation is a purposeful act, and different translation strategies should be adopted according to different text types. Translation is a communicative activity and a transformation between two cultures. A qualified translator should not only retain the original text but also translate it in the context of the target language, that is, make appropriate modifications on the basis of the reservation of the original text. The functionalist translation theory is of great significance to the translation of "introduction to the School" on the web page of colleges and universities.
