從認知負荷模式看順句驅(qū)動原則在英漢同傳中的應(yīng)用

【摘要】:同聲傳譯(同傳)自第一次世界大戰(zhàn)末產(chǎn)生,因其省時、傳遞信息迅速等優(yōu)點在各類國際會議中得到廣泛使用。同聲傳譯也是一項復雜的認知操作過程,因其多任務(wù)同時處理的特性,對譯員各項認知資源的分配能力要求較高。在同聲傳譯過程中,聽辨、記憶和譯語產(chǎn)出三方面的認知活動幾乎同時發(fā)生,為了在有限的時間內(nèi)協(xié)調(diào)好這三項任務(wù),譯員通常遵循順句驅(qū)動的原則,應(yīng)用多種策略對源語進行處理,以提高同傳的質(zhì)量和效率,同時減輕相應(yīng)的認知負擔。本文以丹尼爾·吉爾博士的同傳認知負荷模式為理論依據(jù),采用文獻研究法和案例分析法,對2016年奧巴馬總統(tǒng)國情咨文演講的同傳案例進行分析。同時,通過分析順句驅(qū)動在定語從句、狀語從句、名詞性從句、被動語態(tài),以及先行詞"it"做形式主語和形式賓語等句法層面的運用,總結(jié)了實現(xiàn)順句驅(qū)動的主要策略,即斷句、重復、增補、轉(zhuǎn)換、省略等,探討該模式指導下順句驅(qū)動原則在英漢同傳中應(yīng)用的必要性。在中國,口譯研究,尤其是同聲傳譯研究起步較晚。隨著全球化的深入和發(fā)展,新世紀對同聲傳譯人才的需求日益增長,相應(yīng)的研究也呈現(xiàn)多元化趨勢。不論是實證研究還是觀察分析,作為一項高強度的多任務(wù)處理活動,認知科學顯然是同傳研究的一個必然方向。鑒于將同傳認知模式的研究成果和英漢同傳具體原則及策略相結(jié)合的研究較少,本文在理論和應(yīng)用方面做了雙重分析,以期為同傳實踐提供一定的借鑒和參考。
[Abstract]:Simultaneous interpretation (simultaneous interpretation) emerged from the end of the first World War and has been widely used in various international conferences because of its advantages of saving time and transmitting information quickly. Simultaneous interpretation is also a complex cognitive process. Due to its multitasking and simultaneous processing, the ability to allocate cognitive resources is required. In the process of simultaneous interpretation, cognitive activities in listening, memory and target language output occur at almost the same time. In order to coordinate these three tasks in a limited time, interpreters usually follow the principle of sentence driven. In order to improve the quality and efficiency of simultaneous interpretation and reduce the corresponding cognitive burden, various strategies are used to deal with the source language. Based on the cognitive load model of simultaneous interpretation proposed by Dr. Daniel Gill, this paper analyzes the simultaneous interpretation cases of President Obama's State of the Union address in 2016 by using literature research and case analysis. At the same time, by analyzing the syntactic application of attributive clause, adverbial clause, noun clause, passive voice, as well as the antecedent word "it" as formal subject and formal object, this paper summarizes the main strategies to realize the drive of the following sentence, namely, break sentence, and so on. Repetition, supplement, conversion, ellipsis, etc., this paper discusses the necessity of applying the principle of following sentence drive under the guidance of this model in English and Chinese homography. In China, the study of interpretation, especially simultaneous interpretation, started late. With the deepening and development of globalization, the demand for simultaneous interpreters is increasing in the new century. As a high-intensity multi-task processing activity, cognitive science is obviously an inevitable direction of simultaneous interpretation research, whether it is empirical research or observational analysis. In view of the lack of research on the cognitive model of simultaneous interpretation and the specific principles and strategies of English-Chinese simultaneous interpretation, this paper makes a double analysis in theory and application in order to provide some reference for the practice of simultaneous interpretation.
