【摘要】：《不能承受的生命之輕》是法國(guó)當(dāng)代著名作家米蘭·昆德拉最負(fù)盛名的作品,在全世界范圍內(nèi)取得了巨大成功。該部小說(shuō)首個(gè)中譯本于1987年面世,由作家韓少功及其姐姐韓剛共同譯出,出版伊始即獲得廣泛關(guān)注。之后,南京大學(xué)許鈞教授根據(jù)法文版重新翻譯了這本小說(shuō),于2003年7月由上海譯文出版社出版,給廣大讀者展示了另一種新的翻譯可能并在中國(guó)讀者中掀起了一陣米蘭·昆德拉熱。據(jù)不完全統(tǒng)計(jì),該譯本問(wèn)世后的兩個(gè)月內(nèi),有關(guān)該書(shū)的報(bào)道和討論文章有100余篇�！恫荒艹惺艿纳p》的廣受好評(píng),對(duì)昆德拉在中國(guó)的傳播與接受起到了重要的作用。隱喻是《不能承受的生命之輕》在寫(xiě)作上的一大特點(diǎn)。文學(xué)隱喻作為翻譯中的難點(diǎn),對(duì)譯者來(lái)說(shuō)是一大挑戰(zhàn)。而翻譯活動(dòng)本身也具有隱喻性。歐陽(yáng)楨在《透明的眼》(The TranspTrent Eye)一書(shū)中提到:"翻譯可以被視作是原作在另一種語(yǔ)言中的隱喻。"翻譯與隱喻有根本的相似性。文學(xué)隱喻很久以來(lái)被視為一種修辭手法來(lái)進(jìn)行研究。萊考夫和約翰遜指出,隱喻不僅僅是一種語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象,同時(shí)也是人類(lèi)思維認(rèn)知的重要部分,并由此建立了概念隱喻理論。概念隱喻的產(chǎn)生,為文學(xué)隱喻研究提供了新的角度,繼而推動(dòng)隱喻翻譯研究達(dá)到一個(gè)新的層面,也對(duì)隱喻翻譯提出了新的要求。譯者應(yīng)當(dāng)著重關(guān)注隱喻概念的運(yùn)作機(jī)制,同時(shí)在語(yǔ)言及認(rèn)知層面上把握隱喻的翻譯。本文試圖在概念隱喻視角下,對(duì)《不能承受的生命之輕》中的隱喻及其翻譯進(jìn)行分析,以研究譯文背后譯者對(duì)隱喻翻譯的策略。本文由三個(gè)章節(jié)組成。第一章旨在引入概念隱喻理論,說(shuō)明隱喻的定義與界限。本章著重討論隱喻概念的系統(tǒng)性,文化連貫性以及新奇隱喻的構(gòu)建。證明概念隱喻理論在隱喻翻譯研究中的可適性,指出概念隱喻對(duì)翻譯實(shí)踐的指導(dǎo)作用。第二章探究了《不能承受的生命之輕》一書(shū)的隱喻性。以概念隱喻理論為著眼點(diǎn)進(jìn)行分析,指出小說(shuō)的題旨隱喻、人物隱喻,找出昆德拉為此構(gòu)建的大量新奇隱喻。小說(shuō)采用大量隱喻進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作的手法從本質(zhì)上印證了人類(lèi)思維隱喻性這一觀(guān)點(diǎn)。通過(guò)考察這些隱喻的中文翻譯,探討引文如何保證小說(shuō)隱喻的連貫性。第三章通過(guò)對(duì)《不能承受的生命之輕》中大量隱喻翻譯實(shí)例的分析,從語(yǔ)言和認(rèn)知兩個(gè)層面,總結(jié)譯者的翻譯策略。小說(shuō)中隱喻大多為新奇隱喻,譯者在翻譯中主要才用了直譯的方法,在目標(biāo)語(yǔ)言中盡可能在再現(xiàn)源語(yǔ)言中的隱喻概念,盡可能保留隱喻文體特征的同時(shí)兼顧文化因素的影響,使譯文更符合中國(guó)讀者的認(rèn)知模式�？偠灾�,本文通過(guò)對(duì)《不能承受的生命之輕》中隱喻及其翻譯的探討,一方面指出概念隱喻在文學(xué)隱喻翻譯過(guò)程中的重要性,從概念隱喻的角度揭示了譯者直譯的翻譯策略保證了隱喻的連貫性。另一方面,本論文豐富了國(guó)內(nèi)對(duì)于昆德拉作品的研究,對(duì)昆德拉在中國(guó)的傳播與接受起到促進(jìn)作用。
[Abstract]:The Light of unbearable Life is one of the most famous works of contemporary French writer Milan Kundera, and has achieved great success worldwide.The first Chinese translation of the novel, published in 1987, was translated by writer Han Shaogong and his sister Han Gang.Later, Professor Xu Jun of Nanjing University retranslated the novel according to the French version, which was published by Shanghai Translation Press in July 2003.It shows the readers a new kind of translation possibility and sets off Milan Quindrage among Chinese readers.According to incomplete statistics, in the two months after the publication of the translation, there were more than 100 articles about the report and discussion of the book. The "Light of Life beyond affordability" was well received, which played an important role in the dissemination and acceptance of Kundera in China.Metaphor is one of the characteristics of writing in the Light of unbearable Life.As a difficult point in translation, literary metaphor is a great challenge to the translator.Translation itself is metaphorical."Translation can be seen as a metaphor in another language," Ouyang said in the TranspTrent Eyebook.There is a fundamental similarity between translation and metaphor.Literary metaphor has long been regarded as a rhetorical device for research.Lakoff and Johnson point out that metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but also an important part of human cognition.The emergence of conceptual metaphor provides a new perspective for the study of literary metaphor, and then promotes the study of metaphorical translation to a new level, and puts forward new requirements for metaphorical translation.The translator should pay more attention to the mechanism of metaphor and grasp the translation of metaphor at the linguistic and cognitive levels.From the perspective of conceptual metaphor, this paper attempts to analyze the metaphors and their translation in the Light of unbearable Life, in order to study the strategies behind the translation of metaphors.This paper consists of three chapters.Chapter one is to introduce conceptual metaphor theory to illustrate the definition and boundary of metaphor.This chapter focuses on the systematization of metaphorical concepts, cultural coherence and the construction of novel metaphors.It proves the suitability of conceptual metaphor theory in the study of metaphor translation, and points out the guiding role of conceptual metaphor in translation practice.Chapter two explores the metaphorical nature of the book the Light of unbearable Life.Based on the theory of conceptual metaphor, this paper points out the theme metaphor and character metaphor of the novel, and finds out a large number of novel metaphors constructed by Kundera.The fact that a large number of metaphors are used in the novel essentially confirms the metaphorical view of human thinking.By examining the Chinese translation of these metaphors, this paper discusses how to ensure the coherence of metaphors in novels.Chapter three summarizes the translation strategies of the translator from the linguistic and cognitive perspectives through the analysis of a large number of metaphorical translation examples in the Light of unbearable Life.Most of the metaphors in the novel are novel metaphors, and the translator has mainly used literal translation in translation. In the target language, the metaphorical concepts in the source language are reproduced as much as possible, while preserving the stylistic features of the metaphor as well as taking into account the influence of cultural factors.To make the translation more in line with the cognitive model of Chinese readers.In a word, through the discussion of metaphor and its translation in the Light of unbearable Life, this paper points out the importance of conceptual metaphor in the process of literary metaphorical translation on the one hand.From the perspective of conceptual metaphor, this paper reveals that the translation strategy of literal translation ensures the coherence of metaphor.On the other hand, this thesis enriches the domestic research on Kundera's works and promotes the dissemination and acceptance of Kundera in China.
