【摘要】：美國女作家凱特·肖邦(1850-1904)的長篇小說《覺醒》(1899)已于發(fā)表半個多世紀之后被學(xué)界追認為女性書寫等方面的經(jīng)典之作,而其早期發(fā)表的長篇小說《過錯》(1890)在重現(xiàn)美國南北戰(zhàn)爭后、北方工業(yè)化對南方種植園Place-Du-Bois諸多方面的沖擊所構(gòu)成的意義也應(yīng)引起學(xué)界的適當關(guān)注。Fauconnier和Turner提出的概念整合理論作為認知語言學(xué)的重要理論之一,為研究意義構(gòu)建的動態(tài)過程提供了理論依據(jù)。本研究根據(jù)小說故事情節(jié)的發(fā)展順序,選取五個典型意象(森林、泰蕾絲的房間、火車、瑪麗的小屋和月亮)作為研究對象,借助概念整合理論及其運作方式,分析了五個意象在特定語境下意義的構(gòu)建過程及其象征含義:(1)森林意象:森林本是“種植園保衛(wèi)者”,南北戰(zhàn)爭后,卻不得不成了北方工業(yè)發(fā)展的“原材料提供者”,象征了北方工業(yè)文明和南方農(nóng)業(yè)文明的沖突;(2)泰蕾絲的房間意象:工業(yè)化南移后,女主人公泰蕾絲的房間依舊是她遇到情感困境時的庇護所,象征了工業(yè)化發(fā)展改變種植園環(huán)境的同時,當?shù)厝说乃枷胗^念并沒有與此同步改變;(3)火車意象:火車是北方工業(yè)化產(chǎn)物,南方居民對火車態(tài)度的轉(zhuǎn)變,象征了他們對工業(yè)化的接受;(4)瑪麗的小屋意象:篤信上帝的瑪麗并未接受泰蕾絲的關(guān)心而搬家,結(jié)果人和小屋都被洪水淹沒了,這說明隨著工業(yè)化的發(fā)展,自然環(huán)境遭到破壞、原有信念與價值體系也面臨崩塌危機;(5)月亮意象:月亮通常作為與女性相關(guān)的意象而出現(xiàn),但并沒有隨寡居的、承擔“男性角色”、經(jīng)營南方種植園的女主人公而出現(xiàn),而是出現(xiàn)在她與北方工廠主再婚后,這說明月亮意象代表了女主人公女性角色的回歸,象征了新秩序在種植園的建立。本文通過對以上五個意象象征意義構(gòu)建過程的分析,展現(xiàn)了南方種植園Place-Du-Bois從北方工業(yè)化開始入侵到新秩序建立的具體過程,從而探究出肖邦對待社會變化的理性態(tài)度,表達了她對戰(zhàn)后美國南方和諧美好未來的期許。此粗淺探析旨在對肖邦作品《過錯》的深入研究提供一定的借鑒意義。
[Abstract]:The American writer Kate Chopin (1850-1904) of the novel "the awakening" (1899) was released after more than half a century has been ratified for female writing of the classics, and his early published novel "fault" (1890) formed in the United States after the civil war, to reproduce the industrialized North to the south the plantation Place-Du-Bois many aspects of the impact of the significance should attract appropriate academic attention. As one of the important theories of cognitive linguistics, the concept integration theory proposed by Fauconnier and Turner provides a theoretical basis for the study of the dynamic process of meaning construction. According to the development sequence of the story plot, selected five typical images (forest, Thai lace room, train, Marie's house and the moon) as the research object, by means of conceptual integration theory and its mode of operation, analyzes the significance of constructing the five images in the specific context of the process and its symbolic meaning: (1) forest image: This is the "forest plantation Guardian", after the civil war, but had to become the northern industrial development "raw materials suppliers", a symbol of conflict in northern South industrial civilization and agricultural civilization; (2) the image of the room: Tai Lei silk industrialization after the heroine southward, Thai lace is still room she encountered emotional difficulties when shelter, symbol of industrialization change plantation environment at the same time, the local people's ideas did not change with this synchronization; (3) train: train north industrial product image, Residents in the south to change their attitude of the train, a symbol of industrialization acceptance; (4) cottage image of Marie Marie: have faith in God and did not receive the Thai lace concern move, results and houses are flooded, which means that with the development of industrialization, the natural environment is destroyed, and the original belief the value system is also facing collapse crisis; (5) the image of the moon: the moon as usually associated with female images, but not with the widow, bear the "male role", operation southern plantations and the emergence of the heroine, but she appeared in the north and factory owners married again, indicating that the return of the moon image on behalf of the heroine of female character, symbol of the new order in the establishment of plantations. Based on the analysis of the above five image symbol meaning construction process, show the specific process of the Southern plantation Place-Du-Bois to establish a new order to begin the invasion from the north of industrialization, so as to explore a rational attitude towards social change Chopin, expressed her on the United States Southern harmonious future expectations. This shallow analysis aims to provide some reference for the in-depth study of Chopin's works "fault".
