[Abstract]:In this paper, the syllable of Shanghai sign language is analyzed under the framework of prosodic model. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the phonological representation of Shanghai sign language, the motivation of syllable, the internal structure of syllable, the different types and distribution of syllable.Phonological changes associated with syllables and different expressions of gestures from different sources. The concept of sign language syllable is based on the visual pitch, which reflects the perceptual salience. The movement has the greatest perceptual salience in the hand shape, direction, position and motion of the four parameters of the gesture. The number of sign language syllables in a language stream is determined by the number of movements.Gestures in Shanghai sign language correspond to words in the sense of linguistics. The present study shows that 75% monosyllabic monolingual gestures are found in Shanghai sign language. However, the three concepts of gesture, syllable and morpheme do not always coincide, and there are two syllable monolingual and monosyllabic bilingual gestures in Shanghai sign language. The internal structure of Shanghai sign language syllable is composed of two time slots and one to three weight units. The former reflects the duration of syllable and the latter reflects the complexity of syllable. The syllable of Shanghai sign language contains two time slots. There are four kinds of weight units, which represent path movement, wrist movement, opening and closing changes and pauses. These four kinds of weight units can appear separately or vertically, forming P type, PA type, type 0, type A, type P0, type H, type A, type A, type A, and type 0, type A, and type A, and type P, which is the most widely distributed syllable in Shanghai sign language, among which, P type syllable is the most widely distributed in Shanghai sign language, and there are 8 different types of syllable. In Shanghai sign language, syllable fusion, movement insertion, hand diffusion, auxiliary hand fall and auxiliary hand increase sometimes occur between adjacent syllables.According to different sources, Shanghai sign language gestures can be divided into three categories: core vocabulary, spatial vocabulary and foreign vocabulary. In this paper, the phonological constraints of five key words are summarized: monosyllabic condition, minimum prosodic word PWD 鈮,
