思維之異與會(huì)通之法

【摘要】: 無(wú)論是在宗教信仰中,還是在哲學(xué)形而上學(xué)的討論中,“上帝存在的證明”在西方都有著重要的地位。而對(duì)于十六世紀(jì)入華,志在“中華歸主”的耶穌會(huì)士而言,這不僅是一個(gè)神學(xué)或哲學(xué)命題,更是一個(gè)首要的實(shí)踐問(wèn)題。本文選擇明末清初中文宣教文獻(xiàn)中“上帝存在的證明”作為切入點(diǎn),通過(guò)與其原型——代表西方思維模式的阿奎那的五個(gè)證明相比較,凸顯出雙方就同一命題所作論證的差異,進(jìn)一步分析這些差異背后的原因,并據(jù)此指出中國(guó)思維方式的特點(diǎn)所在。在厘清中西思維模式各自的特點(diǎn)之后,文章將著手解決這樣一個(gè)問(wèn)題:迥異的兩種思維模式是否存在彼此理解、彼此交流的可能。本文將通過(guò)對(duì)傳教士外文書(shū)信和著述的考察,并結(jié)合那個(gè)時(shí)代中國(guó)主流智識(shí)人的回應(yīng)來(lái)證明答案是肯定的。最后,文章再次聚焦于中文上帝存在的證明,從傳教士對(duì)西方材料的處理上挖掘溝通兩種思維模式的可行性方案。
[Abstract]:Whether in religious belief or in the discussion of philosophical metaphysics, the proof of God's existence plays an important role in the West. For Jesuits who entered China in the 16th century and aspire to "return to the Lord of China", this is not only a theological or philosophical proposition, but also a primary practical problem. This paper selects "proof of God's existence" in Chinese propaganda literature at the end of Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty as the starting point, and by comparing with its prototype, Aquinas, which represents the western mode of thinking, highlights the differences between the two sides on the same proposition, further analyzes the reasons behind these differences, and points out the characteristics of Chinese mode of thinking. After clarifying the characteristics of the Chinese and Western modes of thinking, the article will begin to solve the problem of whether the two different modes of thinking have the possibility of understanding and communicating with each other. This paper will prove that the answer is yes through the investigation of missionaries' foreign letters and works, and combined with the response of the mainstream wise people in China at that time. Finally, the paper focuses again on the proof of the existence of Chinese God and excavates the feasibility of communication between the two modes of thinking from the missionaries' handling of western materials.
