璧山神研究

【摘要】: 在民間信仰的研究領(lǐng)域中,地方神的研究占有很大的比重。而對于地方神的研究,就地域而言,目前做的比較成熟的是江浙及東南沿海一代;就對象來說,研究者所更加側(cè)重的是在全國具有較高知名度,產(chǎn)生較大影響的祠神,比如關(guān)羽神、五通神、城隍、媽祖等。由于具有較為豐富的歷史文獻(xiàn)、碑刻記載以及現(xiàn)實生活中的實證物件,例如散落各地的祠廟等,使得針對這種影響較大的祠神研究成為民間信仰研究的主流。然而在民間信仰體系中,往往存在著歷史語境下有著輝煌的過去,而現(xiàn)如今走向沒落或是在官方的祠典上沒有被正式賜號、封賞但是在地方上具有較大影響力的地方性神靈。這些領(lǐng)域的研究對于歷史上的地方神考證具有獨到的觀察視角,卻往往為我們所忽略。有鑒于此,本文以在川東地區(qū)歷史上具有廣泛影響力的地方性神靈——璧山神作為研究的個案,以期管中窺豹,從而為地方神的變遷以及它對當(dāng)?shù)厣鐣鱾時期的影響做一番闡述。璧山神的研究并不是孤立存在的,它既與整個時代背景下國家的官方祭祀政策有關(guān),又受到主流儒釋道宗教信仰的影響。因而在璧山神信仰產(chǎn)生和推廣的過程中,這些成為我們考察的主要部分。本文通過綜合采用歷史文獻(xiàn)記載、地方志、碑刻以及實地取證的方式,從民間信仰地方神的產(chǎn)生、發(fā)展及傳播等多種因素考究歷史語境下的璧山神信仰。 全文總共由六個部分構(gòu)成。第一部分為緒論,對本文的研究思路進(jìn)行簡明的闡述。圍繞著整個民間信仰體系的研究趨勢,提出璧山神信仰的研究價值,通過綜合考察璧山神信仰的變遷進(jìn)而反映出當(dāng)?shù)孛癖姷男叛鲶w系。 第二部分從廣義的層面就民間信仰的概念問題進(jìn)行探討。目前國內(nèi)民間信仰的研究方興未艾,而針對它的定義也呈現(xiàn)出多種觀點。一種認(rèn)為民間信仰屬于地方社會共同體的沒有完整宗教信仰體系的庶民信仰,另一種則提出民間信仰活動的宗教體系性及非文本性,認(rèn)為它是以一種“民間宗教”(Popular Religion)的獨立身份而存在的。 第三部分介紹的是璧山神生平及成神條件,這一點也是文中的重心部分。依托日本學(xué)者濱文敦俊先生提出的地方神成神條件,我們從璧山神的生前義行、死后顯靈以及官方封號三個方面予以考證。其中主體部分為官方的封號問題。在此,我們介紹了官方祭祀對于璧山神信仰產(chǎn)生及傳播的重要意義以及緣何璧山神能夠被納入官方祠典的祭祀體系中。 第四部分主要介紹的是璧山神職能的多樣化,主要從三個方面展開討論。分別是軍事職能、調(diào)節(jié)水旱災(zāi)職能、商業(yè)職能三個方面;谖墨I(xiàn)資料較少的緣故,并且璧山神的職能與其它地方神的職能存在著共通性,文章中將其作為獨立的一章,從中發(fā)掘璧山神演變的端倪。 第五部分講述的璧山神信仰分別與儒釋道的關(guān)系。本文從道教、佛教、儒教與璧山神信仰的關(guān)系上,推而延伸至對民間信仰與三教之間關(guān)系的探討這樣一個目前民間信仰研究領(lǐng)域較為熱點的問題。 第六部分為結(jié)語。在綜合考察璧山神信仰產(chǎn)生、變遷的內(nèi)外因素后,總結(jié)出璧山神衰落的緣由,從而整體的反映璧山神信仰的歷史和現(xiàn)狀。
[Abstract]:In the research field of folk belief, the study of local gods occupies a large proportion. For the study of local gods, the region is more mature than the generation of Jiangsu and Zhejiang and the southeast coast.
