【摘要】：在玄奘弟子中,窺基、普光無(wú)疑占據(jù)著中心位置,特別是窺基完成《成唯識(shí)論》正式確立核心地位,也由此成為唯識(shí)宗的實(shí)際領(lǐng)袖,經(jīng)歷了漫長(zhǎng)的過(guò)程。自武則天執(zhí)政起,因玄奘僧團(tuán)前朝色彩濃重等原因,而與以窺基為首的慈恩寺系關(guān)系緊張,佛教的中心也偏移至西明寺。正因?yàn)榇?窺基在最應(yīng)發(fā)展唯識(shí)宗的時(shí)期被逼離開長(zhǎng)安,赴各地行化,唯識(shí)宗也逐漸脫離佛教的中心舞臺(tái)。玄宗之時(shí),唯識(shí)三祖慧沼因犯金刀之讖及堅(jiān)持彌勒信仰等因素,正犯玄宗禁忌。這無(wú)疑促使唯識(shí)宗徹底走向衰敗。
