視覺注意影響長度知覺
[Abstract]:There has been a long debate about whether and how visual attention can change line length perception. Using different experimental paradigms, the researchers concluded that visual attention increases, weakens and does not affect the subjective length of line segments. However, since each experimental paradigm has been questioned, such as not attracting visual attention effectively or causing visual attention to be impure, there is no final conclusion as to which viewpoint is more correct. In addition, most of the studies are carried out with a single experimental paradigm, so whether the conclusion is really caused by attention or influenced by specific paradigm is questioned. In order to solve the above problems, we use two different attention paradigms to explore how visual attention affects length perception. The research consists of two parts and four experiments. In the first study, we use the bilateral lattice motion paradigm to adjust visual attention, let the subjects judge the length of the line segment presented in the bilateral visual field, and finally draw the conclusion that attention increases the subjective length of the line segment. In the second study, we adopted the prism adaptation paradigm to adjust the spatial attention deflection to the left, to the right and to the right, and used the pre-test and post-test design to compare the performance differences of the measured line length before and after the subjects. It is also proved that visual attention can increase the subjective length of line segments. We have consistently proved that visual attention can increase the subjective length of line segments by using different attention paradigms, which excludes the possibility that our results are caused by specific experimental paradigms and makes the conclusions more extensible. At the same time, our attention paradigm is purer than the previous one, so the conclusion is more reliable. In a word, our study proves that attention can increase the subjective length of line segments under different attention paradigms, which also shows that attention can change the appearance of perception.
