文化輸出:孔子學(xué)院的設(shè)立邏輯

【摘要】:孔子是儒家思想和中國傳統(tǒng)文化的代表人物,影響遍及世界各地。為推廣漢語文化,中國政府在1987年成立了“國家對(duì)外漢語教學(xué)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組”(簡稱為“漢辦”)?鬃訉W(xué)院是孔子學(xué)院總部即國家漢辦組織建立、以教授漢語和傳播中國文化為宗旨的非營利性教育機(jī)構(gòu)。截止目前,孔子學(xué)院的總數(shù)已超過400所,孔子課堂更是達(dá)近650所,分布在全世界120個(gè)國家和地區(qū)。選擇孔子作為漢語推廣品牌,不僅符合中國傳統(tǒng)文化復(fù)興的訴求和大國形象的建立,也有助于營造有利于中國和平崛起的外部環(huán)境。這意味著,對(duì)于孔子學(xué)院的研究不僅是對(duì)中國官方推動(dòng)的文化輸出模式的探究,也是對(duì)中國如何實(shí)現(xiàn)文化輸出的道路的探索。 本文利用截至2010年的孔子學(xué)院存量數(shù)據(jù),采用負(fù)二項(xiàng)式模型(Negative Binomial Regression Model)研究了地理、文化、政治距離以及雙邊政治經(jīng)濟(jì)關(guān)系對(duì)于孔子學(xué)院設(shè)立的影響,并對(duì)比了孔子學(xué)院與孔子課堂設(shè)立路徑的差異。 本文研究發(fā)現(xiàn):加入政治、文化距離后,地理距離的作用不再顯著。文化距離對(duì)孔子學(xué)院累積數(shù)的影響顯著為正,表明孔子學(xué)院的設(shè)立是以促進(jìn)文化認(rèn)同為目的的。偏向政府行政環(huán)境的行政距離對(duì)孔子學(xué)院的影響是負(fù)向的,而偏向制度文化環(huán)境的制度距離的影響則無顯著影響。雙邊關(guān)系中,以建交時(shí)間衡量的雙邊政治關(guān)系對(duì)孔子學(xué)院建立無顯著影響,而以貿(mào)易量衡量的雙邊經(jīng)濟(jì)關(guān)系的影響顯著為正。此外,相對(duì)于孔子學(xué)院,孔子課堂的設(shè)立更為靈活,只受雙邊經(jīng)濟(jì)聯(lián)系的影響。 本文一共分為五個(gè)部分。第一部分是引言,介紹背景意義和文獻(xiàn)綜述。第二部分介紹孔子學(xué)院的概況,并分析了可能影響其建立的因素。第三部分介紹模型框架、變量構(gòu)建和數(shù)據(jù)來源。第四部分報(bào)告了實(shí)證結(jié)果,并做了穩(wěn)健性檢驗(yàn)。最后是結(jié)論和政策意義。
[Abstract]:Confucius, a representative of Confucianism and Chinese traditional culture, influenced all over the world. In order to promote Chinese culture, the Chinese government set up "the leading group on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language" in 1987. Confucius college was established by the headquarters of Confucius Institute, the national Han office, to teach Chinese and disseminate Chinese culture. For the purpose of the non profit education institution, the total number of Confucius colleges has exceeded 400, and the Confucius classroom is nearly 650, distributed in 120 countries and regions all over the world. Choosing Confucius as a Chinese brand is not only in line with the demands of the Chinese traditional cultural revival and the establishment of the image of the big country, but also helps to create a favorable condition for China. The external environment of peaceful rise, which means that the study of Confucius college is not only a probe into the cultural output model promoted by Chinese officials, but also an exploration of how China can achieve the road of cultural output.
Using the stock data of Confucius College as of 2010, this paper uses the negative binomial model (Negative Binomial Regression Model) to study the influence of geography, culture, political distance and bilateral political and economic relations on the establishment of Confucius college, and contrasts the differences between Confucius college and Confucius classroom.
The study found that the role of geographical distance is no longer significant after the entry of politics and cultural distance. The influence of cultural distance on the cumulative number of Confucius college is significant, which indicates that the establishment of Confucius college is aimed at promoting cultural identity. The administrative distance to the administrative environment of the government is negative and biased towards the institution of Confucius. The influence of institutional distance on cultural environment has no significant influence. In bilateral relations, bilateral political relations measured by the time of establishment of diplomatic relations have no significant influence on the establishment of Confucius college, while the impact of bilateral economic relations measured by trade volume is remarkably positive. In addition, the establishment of Confucius's class is more flexible than the Confucius college, only by bilateral economic union. The influence of the Department.
This article is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, introducing the background and literature review. The second part introduces the general situation of Confucius college, and analyzes the factors that may affect its establishment. The third part introduces the model framework, the variable construction and the data source. The fourth part reports the empirical results, and makes the robustness test. Finally, it is the robustness test. Conclusion and policy significance.
