論燕京大學(xué)在中西文化交流中的作用

【摘要】：近年來,中國高速發(fā)展的經(jīng)濟(jì)使得中國在國際政治的舞臺中有了舉足輕重的地位,然而如何通過文化傳播來塑造中國在國際社會的良好形象,增強(qiáng)中國文化對世界人民的吸引力,成為中國面臨的重大問題�？鬃訉W(xué)院和孔子課堂成為中國文化全球傳播戰(zhàn)略的重要項(xiàng)目,這種通過在他國開展教育來促進(jìn)兩國之間文化交流的模式可以追溯至19世紀(jì),而燕京大學(xué)可謂是這種模式的成功代表。對其進(jìn)行研究會定給我們今天的努力方向帶來更多啟示和幫助。 在19世紀(jì)末20世紀(jì)初隨著基督教學(xué)校并校運(yùn)動的展開,燕京大學(xué)應(yīng)運(yùn)而生,在不到十年的時間,她由一所名不見經(jīng)傳的教會學(xué)校發(fā)展成為與當(dāng)時國立清華大學(xué)和國立北京大學(xué)齊名的著名高等學(xué)府,在國際國內(nèi)享有盛譽(yù),成為優(yōu)秀學(xué)子神往、學(xué)術(shù)大師云集之地,堪稱中外教育史上的奇跡。本文以燕京大學(xué)為研究對象,重點(diǎn)研究燕京大學(xué)在當(dāng)時錯綜復(fù)雜的中國社會歷史環(huán)境中,處理中西文化之間的矛盾與沖突的機(jī)制,促進(jìn)中西文化的交流與融合的模式,以對當(dāng)今中外文化交流有所啟示。 本文從教會學(xué)校在中國產(chǎn)生的歷史背景入手,介紹了當(dāng)時中國與美國發(fā)展的不同歷史階段和情況,教會學(xué)校的興起與發(fā)展。這也為燕京大學(xué)的產(chǎn)生奠定了歷史大背景。第二部分主要介紹了燕京大學(xué)出現(xiàn)的緣由、發(fā)展歷程和輝煌成就。本文的重點(diǎn)在于第三部分,主要論述了燕京大學(xué)在中西文化交流中的作用。筆者分別從燕京大學(xué)對西方文化在中國的傳播和對中國文化對外傳播兩方面做出的貢獻(xiàn)來論述燕京大學(xué)在中西文化交流中的貢獻(xiàn)。與此同時,筆者還探討了燕京大學(xué)能在中西文化交流中起重要作用的深層次原因,主要從燕京大學(xué)創(chuàng)辦人司徒雷登的文化觀和燕京大學(xué)處理文化沖突的機(jī)制兩個方面做了論述。最后一個部分總結(jié)了燕京大學(xué)對當(dāng)今中國文化對外傳播的啟示。
[Abstract]:In recent years, China's rapidly developing economy has made China play an important role in the international political arena. However, how to create a good image of China in the international community through cultural communication, Enhancing the attractiveness of Chinese culture to the people of the world has become a major issue facing China. Confucius Institutes and Confucius classrooms have become important projects in the global communication strategy of Chinese culture, a model that promotes cultural exchanges between the two countries through education in other countries, dating back to the 19th century. Yanjing University is a successful representative of this model. Research on it will give us more inspiration and help in our efforts today. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, with the development of the Christian school union movement, Yenching University came into being, and in less than a decade, She developed from a little-known church school into a famous institution of higher learning with the same reputation as the then National Tsinghua University and the National Peking University. She enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad. It can be called a miracle in the history of Chinese and foreign education. Taking Yanjing University as the research object, this paper focuses on the mechanism of Yenching University to deal with the contradictions and conflicts between Chinese and Western cultures in the complicated social and historical environment of China at that time, so as to promote the mode of communication and integration between Chinese and Western cultures. In order to present the Chinese and foreign cultural exchange has the enlightenment. Starting from the historical background of the emergence of church schools in China, this paper introduces the different historical stages and situations of the development of church schools in China and the United States, and the rise and development of church schools. This also laid a historical background for the emergence of Yanjing University. The second part mainly introduces the reason, development and brilliant achievement of Yanjing University. This paper focuses on the third part, mainly discusses the role of Yanjing University in the cultural exchange between China and the West. The author discusses the contribution of Yanjing University to the communication of Chinese and Western cultures from two aspects: the spread of western culture in China and the dissemination of Chinese culture to the outside world. At the same time, the author also discusses the deep reasons why Yanjing University can play an important role in the cultural exchange between China and the West, mainly from two aspects: the cultural view of Leighton Stuart, the founder of Yanjing University, and the mechanism of dealing with the cultural conflict in Yanjing University. The last part summarizes the enlightenment of Yanjing University to the Chinese culture.
