【摘要】：多年來,臺(tái)灣當(dāng)局始終反對(duì)中美大使級(jí)會(huì)談。美國(guó)為了安撫臺(tái)灣,每次大使級(jí)會(huì)談后都向其通報(bào)內(nèi)容。然而,尼克松當(dāng)政時(shí)期,美方向臺(tái)方的通報(bào)卻隱瞞了最敏感的內(nèi)容,即美方在"臺(tái)灣問題"上的新表述和中美舉行高級(jí)會(huì)談的事宜。然由于美方的通報(bào)涉及與中方討論"臺(tái)灣問題"及簽署支持"和平共處五項(xiàng)原則"的聯(lián)合聲明,臺(tái)灣當(dāng)局向美方提出了交涉與抗議。蔣介石本人也深受打擊,不再信任尼克松。盡管尼克松勉力安撫蔣介石,不斷重申美國(guó)將堅(jiān)守對(duì)臺(tái)承諾,但都不能減輕蔣的疑慮。臺(tái)美關(guān)系也因此變得更為復(fù)雜而敏感。
[Abstract]:For many years, the Taiwan authorities have always opposed the ambassadorial talks between China and the United States. To appease Taiwan, the United States informs Taiwan after each ambassadorial meeting. However, during Nixon's administration, the US side's briefing to Taiwan concealed the most sensitive content, that is, the new US statement on the "Taiwan issue" and the issue of holding high-level talks between China and the United States. However, since the US briefing involved discussing the "Taiwan issue" with China and signing a joint statement supporting the "five principles of peaceful coexistence," the Taiwan authorities made representations and protests to the US side. Jiang Jieshi himself was devastated and no longer trusted Nixon. Despite Nixon's efforts to reassure the Jiang Jieshi that the United States would stick to its commitments to Taiwan, none of Chiang's doubts could be alleviated. As a result, Taiwan-US relations have become more complex and sensitive.
