性質(zhì)：是一種酸性蛋白，，在豬腦中有兩種形式，一種高分子量GMF（HMF-GMF），分子量2×105左右，另一種低分子量GMF（LMN-GMF），分子量在4×104左右。前者在腦抽提物中約占85%，后者隨凍融的次數(shù)增加而升高。牛腦中制得的分子量約1.3×104，生物活性與豬腦的GMF完全相同。它們對多種蛋白酶敏感，加熱或PH值較大改變都使其失活。GMF能加快皮樣成膠質(zhì)細胞的分化和成熟程度，在1～2天內(nèi)使體外培養(yǎng)的上述細胞轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)槎嘟切涡菭钅z質(zhì)細胞。還能加快體外培養(yǎng)的許旺氏細胞（Schwan cell）的分裂和繁殖速度�？烧T發(fā)系列生物變化。
