Escalation of Commitment in Projects from the Perspective of

當(dāng)項(xiàng)目管理者面對(duì)一項(xiàng)將要失敗的項(xiàng)目時(shí),通常需要做出是否進(jìn)一步提高投入的承諾。本論文擬研究項(xiàng)目完工程度和管理者心理因素對(duì)于項(xiàng)目管理者承諾升級(jí)(escalation of commitment)行為的影響。雖然已經(jīng)有很多理論解釋承諾升級(jí)的問(wèn)題,但目前為止從心理動(dòng)機(jī)理論的角度進(jìn)行的研究尚不深入。本文基于Higgins (1997)的調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)理論(Regulatory Focus theory),用實(shí)證檢驗(yàn)的方法探討這一問(wèn)題。Higgins(1997,1998)的調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)理論認(rèn)為,個(gè)體有兩種明顯不同的自我管理點(diǎn),來(lái)促使行為和目標(biāo)一致,分別是提升調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)(promotion)和防御調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)(prevention)。處于提升調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)的個(gè)體會(huì)更關(guān)心效用的提升,對(duì)項(xiàng)目潛在的正面結(jié)果(項(xiàng)目潛在的收益)更加敏感,并且傾向于用激進(jìn)的方法追求目標(biāo)。而處于防御調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)的個(gè)體更關(guān)心安全性,對(duì)于潛在的負(fù)面結(jié)果(項(xiàng)目潛在的損失)更敏感,同時(shí)傾向于用保守的方法的追求目標(biāo)。如果管理者的調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)不同,可能會(huì)導(dǎo)致其行為表現(xiàn)不同。本研究設(shè)計(jì)中,所有被試者都面對(duì)一個(gè)將要失敗的項(xiàng)目方案,本文通過(guò)觀測(cè)具有不同調(diào)節(jié)點(diǎn)的被試者其行為決策的不同來(lái)得到結(jié)...
