本文研究發(fā)展中國家的貿(mào)易自由化與貧困之間的關系。按照經(jīng)濟平均增長率、開放水平、收入水平的差異以及地理位置將樣本劃分為11個子樣本。研究中,我們使用絕對貧困指標,包括貧困人口率(貧困水平)、貧困深度(貧困差距)以及貧困差距的平方(貧困程度)。本文運用了六種不同指標代表貿(mào)易開放、貿(mào)易份額以及貿(mào)易政策,并分析貧困與貿(mào)易之間可能的關系。我們發(fā)現(xiàn)在發(fā)展中國家全樣本范圍內(nèi)貿(mào)易與貧困成負相關,但是由于關稅、貿(mào)易限制與貿(mào)易政策的不同在國家間這種負相關的關系是不成立的。本文檢驗了貿(mào)易引起增長以及增長減少貧困這種普遍觀點,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)貿(mào)易自由化與增長之間以及經(jīng)濟增長與貧困減少之間均為顯著的正相關關系。這些結(jié)論與以前Levine&Renelt (1992), Taylor (1998), Wacziarg (2001), Dollar&Kraay (2002)的相關研究結(jié)論一致,但是與Rodriguez and Rodrik (2001)的結(jié)論不同,他們認為貿(mào)易自由化與貧困無關。本文分析顯示在快速增長的經(jīng)濟體中貿(mào)易開放與經(jīng)濟增長呈正相關關系,與此同時在低增長的發(fā)展中國家,貿(mào)易開放與絕對貧困呈顯著...
