【摘要】：翻譯不但是一種語言轉(zhuǎn)化活動,還牽涉到兩種語言所蘊涵的文化信息的交流。因此,翻譯中的文化因素越來越受到重視。由于受文化因素的影響,隱喻的翻譯就成為翻譯中較為復雜的問題。傳統(tǒng)語言學和翻譯研究視隱喻為文學作品中的修辭手段,而認知語言學認為,隱喻,不僅是語言修辭的手段,更是人們認知的重要工具。在認知語言學的基礎上發(fā)展起來的帕爾默文化語言學,將文化的因素歸入研究范圍,建立其獨特的意象圖式理論,從文化與認知模式關系的角度深入研究人類語言中的許多問題,尤其是語言中的隱喻現(xiàn)象,為隱喻研究提供了一個新的視角。 《詩經(jīng)》作為中華民族文化的精髓,除了具有弘奧的文學價值,更具有極高的文化歷史價值,其隱喻的大量使用,使得《詩經(jīng)》的翻譯一直倍受中西方學者的青睞。中國學者夏傳才(1985)并不十分認同西方學者的譯本,西方學者畢竟是異族人的身份,他們或者缺乏對中國文化的親身體驗,或者不能全身心融入中國文化,因此不能夠真正了解中國文化的歷史淵源和精神實質(zhì)。他認為,中國經(jīng)典最好還是由貫通中西文化的中國學者來翻譯,中國老一輩翻譯家比如許淵沖和汪榕培,他們古今兼治,中西貫通,既有較為深厚的國學功底,對西方文化也有專攻。20世紀90年代,隨著改革開放的不斷深入和中西文化交流的日益深化,中國學者深感包括《詩經(jīng)》等中國文學經(jīng)典在內(nèi)的中國傳統(tǒng)文化對外傳播的歷史責任的重大。 本課題試圖從帕爾默文化語言學視角,以《詩經(jīng)》中豐富的隱喻為語料,對比分析中國譯者的兩種《詩經(jīng)》英譯本,分別是許淵沖和汪榕培的譯本,探討《詩經(jīng)》隱喻英譯的文化語言學理據(jù)和翻譯途徑。
