大學(xué)隱喻流變論

【摘要】:大學(xué)隱喻譬如大學(xué),淵源已久。大學(xué)隱喻是人們對(duì)于大學(xué)主觀性的形象比喻,也就是人們對(duì)“大學(xué)”的看法和表述,背后隱藏著“大學(xué)是什么”的深刻涵義。隱喻為人們更好地理解大學(xué)打開(kāi)了一個(gè)窗口,不同的大學(xué)隱喻既概括了不同大學(xué)各自的特征和在社會(huì)上的角色,同時(shí)也表述了不同的大學(xué)理念與大學(xué)精神,在一定層面上折射了大學(xué)的思想與氣質(zhì),以及大學(xué)職能的演化和大學(xué)人才培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)的變遷。本研究以大學(xué)隱喻為研究對(duì)象,首先著力于鉤玄攝要,舉隅流變中歷久彌新的大學(xué)隱喻,有選擇地對(duì)一些獨(dú)具特色且為后世所公認(rèn)的大學(xué)隱喻中的“精華”略作評(píng)析:獨(dú)立王國(guó)的中古大學(xué)隱喻之“象牙塔”和“國(guó)家的神殿”,追求學(xué)術(shù)的近代大學(xué)隱喻之“學(xué)院回廊”和“知識(shí)分子生活的集鎮(zhèn)”,行道于邦的現(xiàn)當(dāng)代大學(xué)隱喻之“燈塔”、“才智之都”和“動(dòng)力站”,透視大學(xué)隱喻的歷史意蘊(yùn)和發(fā)展脈絡(luò)。較系統(tǒng)地對(duì)大學(xué)隱喻流變進(jìn)行條分縷析,是為摭探其內(nèi)蘊(yùn):大學(xué)隱喻流變揭示大學(xué)職能的演進(jìn)機(jī)理,從約翰·亨利·紐曼式的具有單一職能的大學(xué)發(fā)展至洪堡式的雙重職能的大學(xué),再發(fā)展至范·海斯式的三重職能大學(xué);同時(shí)反映了大學(xué)人才培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)在時(shí)間緯度和社會(huì)發(fā)展下的變遷軌跡,即從獨(dú)善其身的遁世者到追求學(xué)問(wèn)的學(xué)術(shù)者,再到兼濟(jì)社會(huì)的服務(wù)者,并昭示一流大學(xué)建設(shè)背景下引領(lǐng)未來(lái)的創(chuàng)新人才的發(fā)展走向。最后,聚焦中國(guó)大學(xué)在急劇變化的當(dāng)代世界中的發(fā)展,探微大學(xué)隱喻流變應(yīng)然旨?xì)w,為大學(xué)立言。高等教育強(qiáng)國(guó)建設(shè)下的一流大學(xué)的隱喻,將以解決社會(huì)現(xiàn)存的矛盾和滿足社會(huì)發(fā)展的需要作為目標(biāo),伴隨著大學(xué)的改革、時(shí)代的進(jìn)步和社會(huì)的發(fā)展應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。中國(guó)一流大學(xué)的“大學(xué)之道”,既關(guān)注“大學(xué)的理想”,也探究“大學(xué)的功用”,既堅(jiān)守特質(zhì)思考“學(xué)術(shù)責(zé)任”,也努力“走出象牙塔”踐行社會(huì)擔(dān)當(dāng),既推行素質(zhì)教育樹(shù)立現(xiàn)代大學(xué)教育觀,同時(shí)培養(yǎng)多元化人才行道于邦、創(chuàng)新型人才引領(lǐng)未來(lái)。
[Abstract]:University metaphor, such as university, has a long history. University metaphor is an image metaphor of university subjectivity, that is, people's view and expression of "university", which hides the profound meaning of "what university is". Metaphor opens a window for people to better understand universities. Different university metaphors not only generalize the characteristics and social roles of different universities, but also express different ideas and spirits of universities. On a certain level, it reflects the thought and temperament of the university, the evolution of the university function and the change of the university talent training goal. This study focuses on university metaphors. First of all, it focuses on the important and enduring university metaphors. Selectively comment on the "essence" of some unique and recognized university metaphors: the "ivory tower" and the "temple of the country" of the metaphors of the Middle University of the Independent Kingdom, "College Corridor" and "the Town of intellectuals' Life", the "Lighthouse" of Modern and Contemporary University metaphors, "the Capital of Intelligence" and "Power Station" in pursuit of academic metaphors in Modern Universities, Perspective on the historical implication and development of university metaphors. The systematic analysis of the metaphorical evolution of universities is aimed at exploring its connotation: the evolution mechanism of university functions is revealed by the evolution of university metaphors. From John Henry Newman's university with single function to Humboldt's double function university, and then to van Hays' triple function university; At the same time, it reflects the changing track of the university talent training goal under the time latitude and the social development, that is, from the isolated recluse to the academic pursuit, and then to the social service. And show the first-class university construction under the background of leading the future development of innovative talents. Finally, focusing on the development of Chinese universities in the rapidly changing contemporary world, this paper explores the metaphorical changes of universities. The metaphors of first-class universities under the construction of powerful universities in higher education will aim at solving the existing contradictions of society and meeting the needs of social development. With the reform of universities, the progress of the times and the development of society emerge as the times require. The "way of University" of China's top universities not only pays attention to "the ideal of the university", but also explores the "function of the university". It not only sticks to the characteristics of thinking about "academic responsibility", but also strives to "go out of the ivory tower" and practice social responsibility. It not only promotes quality education, sets up modern university education concept, but also cultivates pluralistic talents to guide the future.
