【摘要】：近年來隨著經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化、高等教育國際化的發(fā)展,赴美求學(xué)的國際學(xué)生越來越多。2010年,國際學(xué)生為美國經(jīng)濟(jì)提供了近188億美元的凈收入,其中僅加利福尼亞州就有近10萬名國際學(xué)生,為美國帶來的經(jīng)濟(jì)影響近30億美元。隨著美國國際學(xué)生人數(shù)的不斷增加,逐漸壯大的國際學(xué)生群體對美國高校發(fā)展帶來的影響也越來越大。本文主要以美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校為例,通過對2006年—2015年間加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的國際學(xué)生的相關(guān)數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計分析,并結(jié)合加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的論文數(shù)據(jù)信息庫進(jìn)行文獻(xiàn)歸納等,對美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的辦學(xué)經(jīng)費、師資情況、專業(yè)設(shè)置和國際學(xué)生管理事務(wù)這四方面發(fā)展帶來的影響進(jìn)行探究。研究發(fā)現(xiàn)加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的國際本科生人數(shù)從3%上升到2015年的14%;國際研究生人數(shù)從18%上升為2015年的24%。在國際學(xué)生人數(shù)比例不斷提高的同時,國際學(xué)生對加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的影響也越來越大。新增的國際學(xué)生除了對加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的運營帶來了可觀的經(jīng)濟(jì)貢獻(xiàn)之外,這筆經(jīng)費還進(jìn)一步維持了加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的教師數(shù)量、增加了本科生的師資多樣性。除此以外,國際學(xué)生選擇就讀的專業(yè)具有較大的傾向性,這種傾向加強(qiáng)了加州大學(xué)伯克利分校強(qiáng)勢專業(yè)的進(jìn)一步發(fā)展。就國際學(xué)生辦公室而言,國際學(xué)生人數(shù)的不斷增加使其對國際學(xué)生的管理有了進(jìn)一步的改善。可見,國際學(xué)生為加州大學(xué)伯克利分校的發(fā)展帶來了積極影響。隨著高等教育的進(jìn)一步發(fā)展,國家和高校對國際學(xué)生與人才的需求只會不斷增長,國際學(xué)生已經(jīng)不再是一群“弱勢”群體,他們的存在不僅能為高校的發(fā)展帶來積極影響,從長遠(yuǎn)來看,國際學(xué)生更能為一個國家的科技文化發(fā)展做出重要貢獻(xiàn)。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the development of economic globalization and internationalization of higher education, more and more international students have gone to the United States to study. In 2010, international students provided a net income of nearly US $18.8 billion to the US economy. California alone has nearly 100000 international students, with an economic impact of nearly $3 billion. With the increasing number of international students in the United States, the growing group of international students has more and more influence on the development of American colleges and universities. Taking the University of California, Berkeley, as an example, this paper makes a statistical analysis of the relevant data of international students of the University of California, Berkeley, from 2006 to 2015. Combining with the paper data information base of the University of California, Berkeley, and so on, the paper sums up the funds and teachers of the University of California, Berkeley, and so on. This paper explores the impact of the development of professional setup and international student management. The study found that the number of international undergraduates at the University of California, Berkeley, rose from 3 percent to 14 percent in 2015; the number of international graduate students rose from 18 percent to 24 percent in 2015. As the proportion of international students increases, so does the impact of international students on the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to contributing significantly to the operation of the University of California, Berkeley, the new international students have further maintained the number of faculty at the University of California, Berkeley, and increased the diversity of undergraduate staff. In addition, international students' choice of major has a greater tendency to strengthen the University of California Berkeley strong professional development. In the case of the Office of International students, the growing number of international students has led to further improvements in the management of international students. Thus, international students have had a positive impact on the development of the University of California, Berkeley. With the further development of higher education, the national and university demand for international students and talents will only continue to grow, international students are no longer a group of "weak" groups, their existence can not only bring a positive impact on the development of colleges and universities. In the long run, international students can make important contributions to the development of science, technology and culture in a country.
