【摘要】：20世紀(jì)上半個(gè)時(shí)期的中國(guó)高等教育史,是一部波瀾壯闊的文化教育交流碰撞史。各種教育流派不斷涌現(xiàn),各種教育思潮交相輝映,西學(xué)滲透,東學(xué)嬗變,理念更迭,制度變遷。在這樣一個(gè)時(shí)代裹挾、顛沛動(dòng)蕩、紛擾交錯(cuò)的環(huán)境下,依然有很多執(zhí)著、堅(jiān)定的教育家,憑靠“獨(dú)立之精神、自由之思想”、百年大計(jì),教育為先的堅(jiān)定信念。創(chuàng)辦中國(guó)自己的大學(xué),期望挽救人民于水火之中。在這樣的背景下,中國(guó)高等教育迎來了一個(gè)大發(fā)展的歷史性機(jī)遇。在社會(huì)各界的積極努力下,中國(guó)出現(xiàn)了一批現(xiàn)代意義的大學(xué),而且不乏達(dá)到世界一流的大學(xué)。司徒雷登主持下的燕京大學(xué)就是其中之一。司徒雷登雖是外來傳教士來華辦教會(huì)大學(xué),卻因?qū)Υ髮W(xué)教育有著獨(dú)特的理念進(jìn)而在短短時(shí)間內(nèi)將燕京大學(xué)辦的有聲有色,為中國(guó)培養(yǎng)了很多優(yōu)秀的人才。其大學(xué)理念也是我國(guó)高等教育思想的重要組成部分。本文結(jié)合當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)背景以及教會(huì)大學(xué)發(fā)展的概況,試圖對(duì)司徒雷登一流大學(xué)教育思想產(chǎn)生的思想基礎(chǔ)、基本內(nèi)涵、教育實(shí)踐以及現(xiàn)代價(jià)值等分析,系統(tǒng)的闡述司徒雷登的一流大學(xué)教育思想。在中國(guó)古代教育思想、近代西方的自由民主思想、現(xiàn)代基督教教育思想以及中國(guó)當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)背景的影響下,司徒雷登確立“因真理、得自由、以服務(wù)”的燕京大學(xué)校訓(xùn),立足世俗化,樹立培養(yǎng)國(guó)家領(lǐng)袖的人才培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)、重點(diǎn)加強(qiáng)學(xué)生的“才,德,體,力”等素質(zhì),通過嚴(yán)格的招生,考評(píng)制度保障人才的質(zhì)量。除此之外,在“辦中國(guó)最有用的大學(xué)”、“保存中國(guó)最古老的文化”和“創(chuàng)新課程和專業(yè)設(shè)置”的思想引領(lǐng)下,建立和完善燕京大學(xué)的一流學(xué)科和課程建設(shè);名師才能出高徒,在師資上,司徒雷登認(rèn)為大學(xué)乃有大師之為也,通過廣納賢才,給予教師在精神和物質(zhì)上的保障同時(shí)嚴(yán)格教師晉升制度保障教師的水準(zhǔn),培養(yǎng)和鼓勵(lì)優(yōu)秀學(xué)生出國(guó)留學(xué),回來任教于母校;在確立國(guó)際化和“燕京大學(xué)一家”的學(xué)校發(fā)展思想后,司徒雷登通過國(guó)內(nèi)外的經(jīng)費(fèi)籌集使燕京大學(xué)獲得了充足的經(jīng)費(fèi),并且為他人所知曉。在校園建設(shè)和學(xué)校管理上國(guó)際化,提升學(xué)生的國(guó)際化意識(shí),同時(shí)通過在對(duì)外交流和學(xué)科研究的國(guó)際化使燕京大學(xué)的綜合實(shí)力躋身世界一流,燕京大學(xué)的這些具體實(shí)踐也豐富了司徒雷登的一流大學(xué)教育思想,使他的思想不僅具有了鮮明的時(shí)代性和國(guó)際性,也具有了更豐富的科學(xué)性與思想性,給后人留下了一筆寶貴的精神財(cái)富。
[Abstract]:The history of Chinese higher education in the first half of 20th century is a magnificent history of cultural and educational exchange and collision. In such an era of oppression, upheaval and confusion, there are still many persistent and determined educators, who rely on "the spirit of independence, the thought of freedom" and make a great plan for a hundred years. Education first firm belief. Set up China's own university, hoping to save the people in the water and fire. In this context. China's higher education has ushered in a historic opportunity for great development. With the active efforts of all walks of life, a number of universities of modern significance have emerged in China. And there are no shortage of world-class universities. Under the auspices of Leighton Stuart, Yanjing University is one of them. Leighton Stuart is a foreign missionary to run a church university in China. However, because of the unique concept of university education, Yenching University in a short period of time to do the sound. For China has trained a lot of outstanding talent, its university idea is also our country higher education thought important constituent. This article unifies at that time the social background and the church university development general situation. This paper attempts to analyze the ideological basis, basic connotation, educational practice and modern value of Leighton Stuart's first-rate university educational thought. Under the influence of Chinese ancient educational thought, modern western liberal democracy thought, modern Christian education thought and the social background of China at that time. Leighton Stuart established the motto of Yanjing University, which is "to be free because of truth, to serve", to base itself on secularization, to set up the goal of cultivating national leaders, and to focus on strengthening the students' qualities of "talent, virtue, physical ability, and strength." In addition, it is guided by the idea of "running the most useful universities in China", "preserving China's oldest culture" and "innovative curriculum and professional setup". To establish and perfect the first-class subjects and curriculum construction of Yanjing University; In terms of teachers, Leighton Stuart believes that universities are masters. By accepting talented people, they give teachers spiritual and material protection and strict teacher promotion system to ensure the standard of teachers. Train and encourage outstanding students to study abroad and return to teach at their alma mater; In the establishment of internationalization and the "Yenching University" school development ideas, Leighton Stuart through domestic and foreign funding to make the University of Yanjing sufficient funding. And it is known to others. Internationalization in campus construction and school management, enhance students' international awareness, at the same time through the internationalization of foreign exchanges and discipline research, the comprehensive strength of Yenching University ranks among the world class. These concrete practices of Yanjing University also enriched Leighton Stuart's thought of first-class university education, which made his thought not only have distinct times and international character, but also have more scientific and ideological content. Left behind a valuable spiritual wealth for future generations.
