詞塊教學(xué)法在初中詞匯教學(xué)中的研究

【摘要】:作為語言的基本構(gòu)建材料之一,詞匯對于英語學(xué)習(xí)者來說是十分重要的,掌握一定的詞匯是學(xué)好英語的基礎(chǔ)。然而,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn):目前英語詞匯教學(xué)的現(xiàn)狀差強人意,詞匯學(xué)習(xí)成為許多初中生的一個難題。在初中的日常教學(xué)中,詞匯學(xué)習(xí)占用了學(xué)生大量的時間,但是效果卻不是很明顯。詞匯學(xué)習(xí)已經(jīng)成為許多學(xué)生的障礙,嚴(yán)重阻礙了學(xué)生英語能力的發(fā)展和提高。根據(jù)國內(nèi)外研究者對詞匯的研究發(fā)現(xiàn),在英語自然語言中,存在著大量的兼有語法和詞匯雙重特征的固定或半固定的語言結(jié)構(gòu),它們在交際應(yīng)用中高頻率出現(xiàn),被定義為詞塊。邁克劉易斯(1993)是詞塊理論的代表人物,他認(rèn)為詞匯是語言的核心,語言是由語法化的詞匯組成,而不是由詞匯化的語法組成。本文將基于劉易斯提出的詞塊理論,探討詞塊教學(xué)法在初中詞匯教學(xué)中的意義以探索提高初中生英語詞匯能力的有效方法。以下為本研究的研究問題:1.詞塊教學(xué)法能否對初中生學(xué)習(xí)詞匯的興趣有積極的影響?2.詞塊教學(xué)法能否提高初中生詞匯能力?3.詞塊教學(xué)法法能否提高初中生的英語成績?本研究選取遼陽市第十四中學(xué)的兩個人數(shù)、英語水平及背景都相近的兩個班級學(xué)生作為實驗對象,采用問卷、測試、采訪的形式,分別對實驗班和控制班進(jìn)行了實驗研究,并運用統(tǒng)計軟件SPSS11.5對上述數(shù)據(jù)和結(jié)果進(jìn)行定量分析。實驗數(shù)據(jù)及結(jié)果表明:通過詞塊教學(xué)法教學(xué)的實驗班學(xué)生,在經(jīng)過四個月的教學(xué)實驗后,在詞匯學(xué)習(xí)中變得更有自信,對于學(xué)習(xí)詞匯更加感興趣并掌握了更好的學(xué)習(xí)詞匯的習(xí)慣和策略;在針對學(xué)生詞匯能力的考試中有明顯進(jìn)步,成績高于對照班的學(xué)生;在期末考試中他們的英語成績也有進(jìn)步,成績高于對照班的學(xué)生。因此,本研究得出結(jié)論:詞塊教學(xué)法對學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)詞匯的興趣有積極的影響;詞塊教學(xué)法能提高初中生的詞匯能力;詞塊教學(xué)法能提高初中生的英語成績。將詞塊教學(xué)法應(yīng)用于詞匯教學(xué)中是有效以及切實可行的。
[Abstract]:As one of the basic language construction materials, vocabulary is very important for English learners. Mastering certain vocabulary is the basis of learning English well. However, the author finds that the present situation of English vocabulary teaching is unsatisfactory, and vocabulary learning has become a difficult problem for many junior high school students. In the daily teaching of junior high school, vocabulary learning takes up a lot of time, but the effect is not obvious. Vocabulary learning has become an obstacle for many students, which seriously hinders the development and improvement of students' English ability. According to the study of vocabulary by researchers at home and abroad, there are a large number of fixed or semi-fixed language structures with both grammatical and lexical features in English natural languages, which appear frequently in communicative applications and are defined as lexical chunks. In his opinion, vocabulary is the core of language, and language is composed of grammaticalized vocabulary, not lexical grammar. Based on the lexical chunks theory put forward by Lewis, this paper probes into the significance of lexical chunks teaching in junior high school in order to explore effective methods to improve junior high school students' English vocabulary competence. The following is the research question of this study: 1. Whether lexical chunks teaching method can have a positive effect on junior high school students' interest in vocabulary learning. Whether the lexical ability of junior high school students can be improved by lexical chunks teaching method? Can lexical chunk approach improve junior high school students' English achievement? In this study, two students from two classes in Liaoyang No. 14 Middle School, whose English proficiency and background are similar, were selected as the experimental subjects. The experimental study was carried out in the experimental class and the control class by means of questionnaires, tests and interviews. Statistical software SPSS 11.5 was used to analyze the above data and results. The experimental data and results show that after four months of teaching, the students in the experimental class have become more confident in vocabulary learning. More interested in vocabulary learning and better vocabulary learning habits and strategies; improved significantly in the test for students' vocabulary competence, with higher scores than those in the control class; and improved their English scores in the final exam. Students with higher grades than those in the control class. Therefore, this study concludes that lexical chunk teaching has a positive effect on students' interest in vocabulary learning; lexical chunks teaching method can improve junior high school students' vocabulary ability; lexical chunk teaching method can improve junior high school students' English scores. It is effective and feasible to apply lexical chunks to vocabulary teaching.
