On the Applicability of the Schwalbe's Model to the Fracture Toughness Calculation in 7075 Aluminum Alloys
Four 7075-T651 aluminum alloys have been tested in tension in order to assess the applicability of the Schwalbe's model to the fracture toughness calculation.
The values of KIC calculated through the Schwalbe's model, correlate qualitatively well with those from the standard technique.
Skin firmness of tubers of the varieties 'Schwalbe' and 'Ora' was determined during growth and storage.
In monkeys the endothelial cells covering the inner surface of the operculum were also stained, whereas in the human the staining stopped at Schwalbe's line.

Potato plants of four varieties growing in field and showing symptoms of epinasty and stunt were tested for the presence of PSTV by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis according to Morris and Smith (1977). More than half of such plants have given PSTV-RNA bands in polyacrylamide gels. These positive results have been improved by tomato bioassay and infectivity test of PSTV-RNA eluted from the gels. The test of quantities of terminal growing tips showed, 2—4g of infected tissue often gives more stable results....

The test of quantities of terminal growing tips showed, 2—4g of infected tissue often gives more stable results. Diagnosis of PSTV by acrylamide gel electrophoresis is more repid and reliable than the tomato bioassay for certification of disease-free seed potatoes and eliminating this disease from seed breeding lines.
用Morris和Smith(1977)的聚丙烯酰胺凝膠電泳方法,對(duì)五個(gè)馬鈴薯品種“冰島”3號(hào),“燕子”,“米拉”“克疫”和國(guó)外引種Y—18等45株地上部分出現(xiàn)“束頂”、矮縮、上部葉片直立、卷曲的田間感病植株進(jìn)行鑒定。在其中半數(shù)以上的植株中發(fā)現(xiàn)了PSTV。取電泳測(cè)定陽(yáng)性的病株莖尖組織汁液摩擦接種Rutgers番茄,進(jìn)行生物測(cè)定。證明和電泳測(cè)定結(jié)果基本一致。為證實(shí)凝膠電泳分離的PSTV—RNA的侵染性,從凝膠柱的PSTV—RNA區(qū)帶中提取核酸,感染Rutgers番茄,結(jié)果表明侵染性和PSTV—RNA區(qū)帶是一致的。每次鑒定所需病株莖尖組織樣品量的試驗(yàn)表明,取2—4克組織進(jìn)行凝膠電泳,測(cè)定的重復(fù)性較好。實(shí)驗(yàn)證明用聚丙烯酰胺凝膠電泳鑒定馬鈴薯田間植株中的PSTV,迅速、可靠、兩天內(nèi)可完成12個(gè)樣品的鑒定,適于在無(wú)病毒種薯生產(chǎn)、抗病毒育種及無(wú)病親本選育中常規(guī)應(yīng)用。
