隨著經濟的發(fā)展和全球化,商務合同在促進跨國經濟交易和規(guī)范市場秩序方面的作用愈加重要。但是,目前不少商務合同的翻譯存在不準確、不專業(yè)、佶屈聱牙的現象,有的甚至是錯誤百出。這些不合規(guī)范的商務合同翻譯不但會引起法律糾紛,導致經濟損失,甚至會擾亂國際市場秩序。所以,商務合同的翻譯需要有具體原則和翻譯策略的指導。目前對于商務合同翻譯的研究多是籠統的翻譯技巧的討論,少見科學系統地探討。因此,該文擬用功能語法理論對國際商務合同進行分析,將其情景背景、文本功能和語言選擇有機聯系起來。商務合同發(fā)生的情景背景決定了它要實現的三個文本功能,作者試從這三個功能得出翻譯商務合同的三個具體原則,繼而揭示在這三個原則的指導下,在語言的微觀層面應當采取的翻譯策略。該研究為商務合同翻譯的研究提供了一個新的視角,并將為商務合同的翻譯提供理論上和實踐上的指導。
