窄式閱讀在初中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中的實(shí)證研究

【摘要】:我們都知道閱讀能力是中學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)四項(xiàng)基本技能中最重要的一項(xiàng),它歷來(lái)是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的重中之重,但閱讀又常常是眾多學(xué)生難以逾越的障礙,比如:詞匯、句型及篇章結(jié)構(gòu)特別是跨文化背景知識(shí)都難度較大等。隨著我國(guó)新的課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)改革的不斷深入,閱讀能力薄弱的問(wèn)題顯得越來(lái)越突出,廣大教師可以變傳統(tǒng)教學(xué)方法為承載新課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)理念的新方法——窄式閱讀。窄式閱讀是Krashen 1981年繼“輸入假設(shè)”理論(Input Hypothesis)之后提出的,即通過(guò)閱讀同一主題、同一作者或同一文體的文章,利用目標(biāo)詞匯、語(yǔ)法、跨文化背景知識(shí)等的反復(fù)重現(xiàn),來(lái)使讀者降低閱讀時(shí)的焦慮感和閱讀困難,從而培養(yǎng)閱讀興趣和理解能力。國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者對(duì)此均有研究,但在初中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中沒(méi)有提及,本文嘗試把窄式閱讀應(yīng)用到初中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)中,以提高學(xué)生的閱讀興趣和閱讀成績(jī)。本文針對(duì)兩個(gè)問(wèn)題進(jìn)行研究:1.窄式閱讀能提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)閱讀興趣嗎?2.窄式閱讀能提高學(xué)生英語(yǔ)閱讀理解的成績(jī)嗎?本研究采用了定量和定性分析的方法。實(shí)驗(yàn)參與者均來(lái)自遼寧省朝陽(yáng)市凌源松嶺子中學(xué)八年級(jí),共80人。實(shí)驗(yàn)班和控制班各40人。實(shí)驗(yàn)的時(shí)間為16周。其中實(shí)驗(yàn)班的閱讀訓(xùn)練采用的是窄式閱讀的方法,控制班采用傳統(tǒng)的閱讀訓(xùn)練方法。作者通過(guò)問(wèn)卷、測(cè)試以及訪談收集實(shí)驗(yàn)數(shù)據(jù),其中測(cè)試所使用的試卷來(lái)自朝陽(yáng)五市聯(lián)考的試卷。實(shí)驗(yàn)后使用SPSS軟件進(jìn)行數(shù)據(jù)分析。實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果表明:1.窄式閱讀訓(xùn)練有利于提高學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)閱讀的興趣。2.在使用窄式閱讀進(jìn)行閱讀訓(xùn)練后,學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)閱讀理解的成績(jī)顯著提高。誠(chéng)然,我們知道本研究在實(shí)施中仍有不足,比如:就學(xué)生最感興趣的旅游方面文章我們進(jìn)行了的窄式閱讀實(shí)驗(yàn),結(jié)果表明實(shí)驗(yàn)很成功,但在進(jìn)一步的研究中還是有許多需要提升的空間?梢钥隙ǖ氖墙處熢谟⒄Z(yǔ)閱讀訓(xùn)練中運(yùn)用窄式閱讀對(duì)提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)閱讀興趣效果最好,閱讀成績(jī)的提高從數(shù)據(jù)上看更是顯著的,盡管信度略有瑕疵。
[Abstract]:We all know that reading ability is the most important of the four basic skills in middle school English teaching. It has always been the most important part of English teaching, but reading is often an insurmountable obstacle for many students, such as vocabulary.Sentence patterns and textual structure, especially cross-cultural background knowledge, are difficult and so on.With the deepening of the reform of new curriculum standards in our country, the problem of weak reading ability becomes more and more prominent. Teachers can change the traditional teaching method into a new method of carrying the concept of new curriculum standard-narrow reading.Narrow reading was put forward by Krashen in 1981 after "input hypothesis" theory, that is, by reading articles of the same subject, the same author or the same style, the repetition of target vocabulary, grammar, cross-cultural background knowledge, etc.So that readers can reduce anxiety and difficulty in reading, so as to cultivate their reading interest and comprehension ability.Scholars both at home and abroad have studied this problem, but it is not mentioned in junior middle school English teaching. This paper attempts to apply narrow reading to junior high school English reading teaching in order to improve students' reading interest and reading achievement.This paper deals with two problems: 1.Can narrow reading increase students' interest in English reading?Can narrow Reading improve students'Achievement in English Reading comprehension?In this study, quantitative and qualitative analysis methods were used.The participants were all from the eighth grade of Lingyuan Songling Middle School, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, with a total of 80 participants.The experimental class and the control class each have 40 students.The experiment lasted 16 weeks.The experimental class adopts the narrow reading method and the control class adopts the traditional reading training method.The author collected the experimental data by questionnaire, test and interview, in which the test paper was from the test paper of Chaoyang five cities United examination.After the experiment, SPSS software was used to analyze the data.The result of the experiment shows that 1: 1.Narrow reading training is helpful to improve students' interest in English reading.After reading training with narrow reading, students' English reading comprehension is improved significantly.To be sure, we know that there are still shortcomings in the implementation of this study. For example, the narrow reading experiment we conducted on the articles most interesting to students in tourism shows that the experiment was very successful.But there is still much room for improvement in further research.It is certain that the use of narrow reading in English reading training is the best way to improve students' interest in English reading, and the improvement of reading results is even more significant from the point of view of data, although the reliability is slightly flawed.
