全國專業(yè)技術(shù)人員職稱英語等級考試的效度研究

【摘要】: 自1978年以來,隨著國際合作與交流的日益頻繁,中國政府對英語的教與學(xué)給予越來越多的關(guān)注。全國專業(yè)技術(shù)人員職稱英語等級考試(以下簡稱職稱英語考試)是由國家人事部于1999年開始組織實(shí)施的一項(xiàng)國家級英語考試,專業(yè)技術(shù)人員必須通過該考試才能獲得其專業(yè)技術(shù)職務(wù)的晉升。對這樣一項(xiàng)與職稱掛鉤的全國范圍內(nèi)的英語考試進(jìn)行質(zhì)量調(diào)查和分析,不僅對專業(yè)技術(shù)人員個人及單位具有重要意義,對社會也將產(chǎn)生廣泛的影響。 現(xiàn)有的職稱英語考試共分三個專業(yè)類別:綜合類、理工類和衛(wèi)生類,每個專業(yè)類別的考試各分A、B、C三個等級。該考試重點(diǎn)考查應(yīng)試者的閱讀理解能力。本文首先詳細(xì)論述了專門用途英語測試、閱讀測試以及效度、信度等測試質(zhì)量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的有關(guān)文獻(xiàn)資料,在此理論基礎(chǔ)上對職稱英語考試進(jìn)行了效度研究。 本文作者選擇了理工類和衛(wèi)生類的B級考試作為研究對象,特別關(guān)注的是影響閱讀測試的諸多因素中的文章類型、長度、體裁和主題,閱讀任務(wù)的類型和答題方式,以及所測的閱讀技能等因素。為了了解應(yīng)試者的目的語真實(shí)使用情況,尤其是他們的閱讀需求,本文作者在鎮(zhèn)江范圍內(nèi)進(jìn)行了一次問卷調(diào)查,調(diào)查對象為參加2006年職稱英語理工類和衛(wèi)生類B級考試的專業(yè)技術(shù)人員。同時,2003、2004和2005年的相應(yīng)的試卷被仔細(xì)地分析,目的是為了具體了解尚未公布的2006年的考試內(nèi)容和任務(wù);趩柧碚{(diào)查結(jié)果和試卷分析結(jié)果,本文作者主要從信度和效度這兩方面分析評估了測試質(zhì)量,得出的結(jié)論是職稱英語考試的效度比較低,因此該測試手段質(zhì)量不高、意義不大。該考試的設(shè)計(jì)者有必要采取一些有利措施提高測試的效度,但不可忽視信度,要開發(fā)真實(shí)考試模式,真正測到想要測的能力,能從考試結(jié)果中了解和預(yù)測應(yīng)試者在真實(shí)情境中的語言能力。 本文僅對職稱英語考試進(jìn)行了初步的研究,希望引起對該考試的更多關(guān)注和更為深入的討論。
[Abstract]:Since 1978, with the increasing international cooperation and communication, the Chinese government has paid more and more attention to the teaching and learning of English. The National English Grade Test for Professional and Technical personnel (hereinafter referred to as the English Test for Professional titles) is a national English examination organized and implemented by the Ministry of personnel since 1999. A professional technician must pass the examination in order to be promoted to his professional technical position. The investigation and analysis of the quality of such a national English examination, which is linked to the professional title, is of great significance not only to the professional and technical personnel, but also to the society. The existing English Test for Professional titles is divided into three major categories: comprehensive, Science and Technology and Health. The test focuses on the examinees' reading comprehension. This paper first discusses in detail the relevant literature about ESP test, reading test, validity, reliability and so on. Based on this theory, the validity of English Test for Professional title is studied. The author chooses the B level examination of science and technology and health as the research object, and pays special attention to the type, length, genre and subject of the article, the type of reading task and the way of answering the question, among the many factors that affect the reading test. And measured reading skills and other factors. In order to understand the actual use of the target language, especially their reading needs, the author conducted a questionnaire survey in Zhenjiang. The subjects were the professional technicians who took part in the 2006 English Science and Technology and Health Grade B examinations. At the same time, the corresponding papers for 2004 and 2005 were carefully analyzed in order to understand the contents and tasks of the 2006 exam that had not yet been published. Based on the results of questionnaire survey and test paper analysis, the author analyzes and evaluates the test quality from two aspects: reliability and validity. The conclusion is that the validity of title English test is relatively low, so the quality of the test method is not high. It doesn't make much sense. It is necessary for the designers of the test to take some favorable measures to improve the validity of the test, but the reliability should not be ignored. To understand and predict the language ability of the examinees in real situations from the test results. This paper only makes a preliminary study on the title English examination, hoping to arouse more attention and further discussion.
