[Abstract]:Background Endocrine disruptor (EDCs) may be the cause of ASD, but it is difficult to identify the related chemicals in the mixture of endocrine disruptors. [objective] to identify pregnancy EDC exposure associated with autism behavior. [methods] eight phthalate metabolites in blood or urine samples from 175 pregnant women in a (Health Outcomes and Measures of the Environment,HOME study of health outcomes and environmental measures in Cincinnati, Ohio, were determined. Bisphenol A (BPA), 25 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), 6 organochlorine pesticides, 8 brominated flame retardants and 4 perfluoroalkyl substances. In their children aged 4 and 5, mothers completed the Social response scale (SRS), a measure of autism behavior. A two-stage stratification analysis was used to investigate the correlation between 52 endocrine disruptors and SRS scores after adjusting for confounding factors in order to explain the repeated measurements of correlated EDCs and the effects of confounding.
